Patent number: 4806026Abstract: A seal for bearing bushing with a sealing ring in a bore of the bearing bushing having a sealing surface which rests against a cylindrical surface of a machine part supported in the bearing bushing. An auxiliary seal is located between the open end of the bearing bushing and a shoulder of the machine part. The auxiliary seal has a ring-shaped collar extending in the axial direction, by which it is connected to the bearing bushing and at least one sealing lip bearing against the bearing bushing. The ring-shaped collar is pretensioned with radial pretension. The auxiliary seal has axially oriented projections located in a ring-shaped recess on the side facing the bearing bushing and each projection is situated over a portion of its length on a tongue of the ring-shaped collar.Type: GrantFiled: April 7, 1988Date of Patent: February 21, 1989Assignee: SKF GmbHInventors: Bernhard Bauer, Herbert Dobhan

Patent number: 4696002Abstract: A reset circuit is suggested for a microprocessor with which the microprocessor is reset, if the predetermined program ranges are left. During each cyclical input signal it is determined whether an output signal appears after a predetermined time. If this is not the case the reset process is performed. The reset process is also initiated if a predetermined output of the microprocessor remains in a defined position over an unduly long time.Type: GrantFiled: October 3, 1985Date of Patent: September 22, 1987Assignee: Robert Bosch GmbHInventors: Richard Schleupen, Ulrich Mayer, Bernhard Bauer, Arnd M. Patent number: 4653936Abstract: A bearing bushing is provided with a sealing ring having a conical bore surface on the side remote from the side at which a shaft is inserted. The rim of the bearing bushing is provided with a concial surface which cooperates with the conical surface of the sealing ring during insertion of the shaft so as to restrain the sealing ring in a manner that prevents it from being forced out of the bearing bushing. Alternatively, a restraining ring having a circumferential projection with a conical surface can be arranged to prevent unseating of the sealing ring when the shaft is inserted from the sealing ring side of the bearing bushing. A shaft being inserted exerts axial force on the sealing ring, causing the inner portion of the sealing ring to expand radially as the conical surface of the sealing ring slidingly ascends the conical surface of the bushing rim or restraining ring, thereby allowing easy insertion of the shaft.Type: GrantFiled: November 6, 1985Date of Patent: March 31, 1987Assignee: SKF GmbHInventors: Armin Olschewski, Bernhard Bauer, Elisabeth Zirk

Patent number: 4637806Abstract: A swivel pin bearing for rotatably seating a swivel pin in the yoke eye of a yoke arm. The bearing includes a bushing having a base portion and a sleeve portion integrally formed with the periphery of the base portion, this sleeve portion being arranged in the yoke eye with radial seating play, and a support plate releasably secured to the yoke arm. The base portion has a planar outer surface which opposes a planar inner surface of the support plate. An element is provided for coupling the bushing to the support plate such that axial displacement of the bushing relative to the support plate is prevented. Patent number: 4615321Abstract: A method and apparatus for checking sensors, in which the measurement signals, electrically detected in a checking unit and representative of the operating conditions of an internal combustion engine, are statically monitored. The measurement signals are checked with respect to whether their physical measured values are technically significant and lie within the permissible range and if an error is detected, a measure is initiated which counteracts this error; the cyclically detected measurement signals are thereby checked with respect to a change in their measured values from one sampling cycle to a successive one and are accepted only if the change in measured values is within permissible limits. Stochastic disturbances are gated out of the measurement signal and registered and tolerated up to a significant limit. If faulty measurement signals are detected, an emergency operating procedure is activated which counteracts this fault.Type: GrantFiled: August 6, 1984Date of Patent: October 7, 1986Assignee: Daimler-Benz AktiengesellschaftInventors: Gunther Haefner, Bernhard Bauer, Ulrich Letsche, Karl-Ernst Noreikat
