Abstract: A terminal and a method for configuring such a terminal are provided for a user subscribed to an operator of a communication network, referred to as the nominal network, in order to access a communication service. The terminal is configured to access a first communication service via a first network access point. When the terminal is connected to a communication network other than the nominal network, referred to as a visited network, the terminal obtains data indicating whether the terminal can access a second communication service via said first network access point. In the case where the terminal cannot access the second communication service via the first network access point, the terminal determines a second network access point to be used by the terminal in order to access the second communication service and configures itself to be able to access the second communication service via the second network access point.

Abstract: A method for suggesting applications applied by a terminal compatible with its operating system, is disclosed. One aspect of the method includes receiving a link for accessing the downloading of the application and restoring a message suggesting to the user the downloading; The method further includes determining at least one data structure including identifiers; selecting at least one identifier; generating from the identifier a domain name including an indication of the operating system; and sending the domain name to a server capable of providing a corresponding link for accessing the domain name. Lastly, the access link is received in response to said sending step. A system and device for implementing the method are also disclosed.

Abstract: A method for controlling a phone call initiated by a first communication terminal connected to a communications network via a server of an operator network is disclosed. The method includes receiving a request to set up a phone call between the first terminal and a second terminal, the request comprising an identifier of the first terminal, an identifier of the second terminal and at least one parameter describing said phone call. The method also includes determining whether a degraded communication mode should be activated by querying a database of identifiers according to the identifier of the first terminal and the identifier of the second terminal. If the degraded communication mode is activated, the method also includes modifying the initial descriptive parameter, and transmitting the modified descriptive parameter to a management server of the operator network, the modified descriptive parameter representing degraded call quality relative to the initial descriptive parameter.

Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided for processing a request to instigate communication, received by a routing device associated with a plurality of terminals. The request relates to a communication to be established between a sender device of the request and at least one of the terminals. The method includes a step of comparing communication capabilities of said sender device with respective communication capabilities of one or more terminals, called addressee terminals, which are able to establish said communication, so as to identify at least one terminal having capabilities making it possible to establish with the sender device a communication of maximum quality. A call notification is transmitted to at least one of the addressee terminals, which is suitable for triggering on the addressee terminal a call presentation prompting a user to use, by priority, one of the terminals identified during the comparison step to establish the communication.

Abstract: One embodiment relates to a method for establishing communication between at least one calling terminal and one called terminal, implemented by the calling terminal. The method comprises detecting the activation by the calling terminal of a request to establish a communication with the called terminal, obtaining a first piece of communication context information related to the calling terminal, and obtaining at least a second piece of communication context information related to the called terminal. Abstract: A method and a device establish a communication initiated by a terminal sending a communication request to a shared public identity associated with at least two destination terminals. The terminal sending the request receives at least one provisional response to the communication request, originating from one of the two destination terminals. From the provisional response received, the terminal sending the request obtains an address identifying the destination terminal that sent the provisional response received. The terminal sending the request sends a message to find out the capacities of a terminal to said destination terminal using the address obtained and receives in return a response message to the message to find out the capacities of a terminal originating from the destination terminal; the response message includes the capacities supported by the destination terminal. The terminals obtain a first quality of service data item relating to the multi-media session. Following a change in the mode of management to a “relay mode” in which the multi-media session initially established between the terminals is split into two separate multi-media sessions, it includes: obtaining of a second quality of service data item relating to one of the two multi-media sessions established following the change in the mode of management of the media gateway; comparing the first and second quality of service data items; and locating the quality of service problem depending on the result of the comparison.

Abstract: Described is a method of exchanging information that is performed by a first device with a second device, both of which devices are registered with a voice over IP core network, the first device having placed a call over a circuit-switched network to a third device, said call actually being set up between the first device and the second device. In one embodiment, the method comprises: receiving over the circuit-switched network a message confirming that the call has been set up with the second device, which message includes an identifier of the second device on the circuit-switched network; and exchanging information with the second device via the core network and using the identifier of the second device, which information relates to the capacity of the first and/or second device to support at least one rich communication multimedia service.
