  • Publication number: 20100306274
Abstract: A computer implemented method, data processing system, and computer program product for allowing users with minimal database skills to produce efficient, extended configuration management databases. Input is received from a user to extend a configuration management database, wherein the input includes a generic data type. The generic data type is mapped to a database data type of the configuration management database. An SQL statement is then generated to create the database data type in the configuration management database. Responsive to a successful execution of the SQL statement, the tables in the configuration management database are updated with the database data type to reduce a number of tables created for the database data type.

  • Publication number: 20100175106
Abstract: The disclosed principles describe systems and methods for assessing the policy compliance of a target device, wherein the assessment is performed by a scanning computer in communication with the target device via a communication network. By employing a system or method in accordance with the disclosed principles, distinct advantages are achieved. Specifically, conducting such a remote scan allows for the scanner computer to perform a remote scan of the remote device without installing client software to the remote device. Also, conducting a compliance assessment according to the disclosed principles allows for the target device to be assessed after policy updates and changes, without requiring the target device to be re-scanned. Thus, the disclosed principles reduce the need for internal IT resources to manage the assessment and updates of client configuration settings on the target device.

  • Publication number: 20080175374
Abstract: A method, apparatus, and computer usable program product for managing received calls. In response to receiving a first call from a user, the process stores a record of the first call in a table of received calls. Thereafter, in response to receiving a second call from the user within a predefined period of time after the first call was prematurely disconnected, the process identifies a second call as a prematurely terminated call. The process then places the prematurely terminated call in a queue of calls according to a set of configurable criteria and updates the record of the first call with a progress of the prematurely terminated call.

  • Publication number: 20080141003
Abstract: Computer implemented method, system and computer usable program code for processing a data object, for example, for searching for, creating or updating a data object. A computer implemented method for processing a data object includes receiving a request for the data object. A static portion and a dynamic portion for the data object are determined, and an instruction for the static portion and an instruction for the dynamic portion are processed separately. To search for a data object, a result from processing an instruction for the static portion and a result from processing the instruction for the dynamic portion are merged to form a hybrid data object. To create or update a data object, a result from processing an instruction for the static portion and a result from processing the instruction for the dynamic portion is saved in a database.

  • Publication number: 20070299152
Abstract: Polymer extruded foams that contain cell size enlarging agents are provided. The inventive composition includes a foamable polymer material, at least one blowing agent, and at least one cell size enlarging agent. The blowing agent utilized in the inventive composition is preferably selected such that the composition has a zero ozone depletion and low global warming potential. Examples include any inorganic blowing agents and/or non-hydrogenated chlorofluorocarbons (non-HCFCs). The foamable polymer material is preferably polystyrene. The cell size enlarging agent may be chosen from ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) and/or ethylene methyl acrylate (EMA). The cell size enlarging agent permits the formation of a foam with large cell sizes that are desirable to achieve a high insulation value and to optimize the physical properties of the foamed product. In addition, the cell size enlarging agent provides an increased cell size to the foamed product without detracting from the physical and thermal properties.

  • Publication number: 20070294237
Abstract: A computer implemented method, data processing system, and computer program product for enabling enterprise-wide queries by linking configuration management databases (CMDBs) together. A query and unique query key to access data stored in a CMDB is received. The query is processed against data internal to the CMDB. If the information is found from the query of the CMDB, the query results are sent to the requesting user. If the query does not produce any information from the CMDB, one or more infrastructure discovery tools registered with the CMDB are used to discover one or more compatible CMDBs in the enterprise. A communications link is established between the infrastructure discovery tools registered with the CMDB and the infrastructure discovery tools registered with the one or more compatible CMDBs. The query and the unique query key are then passed to the one or more compatible CMDBs via the communications link.

  • Publication number: 20070179205
Abstract: Polymer extruded or expanded foams that contain modifier-free nanoclays are provided. The addition of modifier-free nano-clays to extruded or expanded foam products improves the thermal properties, mechanical properties, and fire performance properties. Water or a water-containing compound is used as a carrier for the modifier-free nanoclays. The final foamed products may be utilized in building application such as foamed insulation products and in underground applications such as highway insulation. A preferred modifier-free nanoclay is Na+MMT. Modifier-free nanoclay particles may be injected into a polymer during an extrusion foaming process. In another embodiment of the invention, polymer beads containing water/nanoclay particles are formed using inverse emulsion/suspension polymerizations and expanded or extruded into a foamed product. In a further embodiment, a modifier-free nanoclay particle is encapsulated in a super-absorbent material, which may be used in an expanding or extruding process.

  • Publication number: 20070173554
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for making polystyrene foam which utilizes one or more atmospheric gases, particularly CO2, as the blowing agent in combination with a polymer processing aid (PPA), typically an ester that is relatively non-volatile at the extrusion temperature range. The blowing agent and the PPA may both be introduced into the molten thermoplastic polystyrene resin or the PPA may be incorporated in the solid source polystyrene resins. The resulting foam will be substantially free of residual blowing agent and dimensionally stable at ambient temperatures.

  • Publication number: 20070168855
Abstract: A computer implemented method, data processing system, and computer usable code are provided for splitting a screen in a Web browser window. User input is received requesting splitting of the screen in the Web browser window. A position for a split in the screen is identified. The screen is split at the position to form a set of screens in the Web browser window.
