The negotiable instrument may be deposited in a user's bank account based on the image. Any technique for sending the image to the financial institution may be used. The mobile device may process the image prior to sending the image to the financial institution. Additionally or alternatively, the financial institution may process the image.

Abstract: The present application is directed to apparatuses, methods, and systems for remote deposit capture with enhanced image detection. In one form, a system includes a processor configured to extract an instrument image from an image that is associated with an account, where the instrument image is extracted by determining at least one corner of a plurality of corners of an instrument in the image, and to transmit the instrument image to a financial institution server to transfer funds between financial institution accounts.

Abstract: The APPARATUSES, METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR A PUBLISHING AND SUBSCRIBING PLATFORM OF DEPOSITING NEGOTIABLE INSTRUMENTS (hereinafter “PS-PLATFORM”) provides a negotiable instrument data publish and subscribe framework, whereby financial institutions may exchange negotiable instrument deposit data and/or validation information within the publish and subscribe framework. In one embodiment, the PS-PLATFORM may register a financial institution as a subscriber and provide financial transaction information to the financial institution based on the subscription.

Abstract: Techniques provided herein relate to electronic authentication on public systems. A backend system receives at least one electronic data action request from a publicly available client system that is shared amongst a plurality of users. At least a portion of the primary authentication information is received from a secondary device separate from the publicly available client system. The electronic data action request is authenticated by determining if the primary authentication information matches expected primary authentication information that is expected to complete the electronic data action request. Performance of the electronic data action request is facilitated when the primary authentication information matches the expected primary authentication information.

Abstract: Described herein are systems and methods for managing a fuel dispensing account associated with fuel dispensing transactions. A fuel dispensing apparatus includes a receiver configured for wireless communication with a user device. The fuel dispensing apparatus receives a request to dispense fuel from the user device via the receiver and associates the fuel request with a primary user account stored in a user database. A notification is sent to one or more users of the primary account requesting instructions regarding the fuel request. Fuel is dispensed from the fuel dispensing apparatus if instructions are received from a user of the primary account authorizing the request.

Abstract: Remote deposit of checks can be facilitated by a financial institution. A customer's general purpose computer and image capture device may be leveraged to capture an image of a check and deliver the image to financial institution electronics. Additional data for the transaction may be collected as necessary. The transaction can be automatically accomplished utilizing the images and data thus acquired.

Abstract: Techniques are described for capturing data from a digital document through the use of targeted user feedback regarding the position(s) of particular data field(s) in the document. Implementations enhance the speed and accuracy of data capture from documents and/or images of documents by providing a helpful and intuitive set of controls to enable the end user to indicate the position(s) of field(s) on a document. Through specification of the position of the field in the document, implementations may isolate the portion of the document where data extraction is to be performed to determine the associated value of the field. Any suitable number of field values may be extracted from the document in this manner, based on positions indicated by the user using the provided control(s). In some implementations, one or more actions may be automatically performed based on the extracted data, such as automated bill payment actions.

For example, in one embodiment, a user may employ a personal computer connected to a web camera, and/or a smartphone with a built-in camera to initiate the remote deposit by holding a check in front of the camera, and the RDC-Video may capture images of the check and send them to a financial institution for deposit processing.

Abstract: An alignment guide may be provided in the field of view of a camera associated with a mobile device used to capture an image of a check. When the image of the check is within the alignment guide in the field of view, an image may be taken by the camera and provided from the mobile device to a financial institution. The alignment guide may be adjustable at the mobile device. The image capture may be performed automatically by the camera or the mobile device as soon as the image of the check is determined to be within the alignment guide. The check may be deposited in a user's bank account based on the image. Any technique for sending the image to the financial institution may be used.

Abstract: A method and system are disclosed for submitting financial instruments, cash and other value bearing documents for deposit at retail locations unaffiliated with the various financial institutions the deposits are directed to. The method includes identifying account holders and scanning the physical documents to be deposited with equipment at the retail location that is provided by a third party facilitator. The equipment at the retail location communicates with a third party facilitator system to lookup bank routing information and uses this information to complete a remote deposit transaction for the account holder with that account holder's particular financial institution. The system may include a standalone or distributed system having a memory in communication with a processor system configured to perform the method noted above.

The security device may manage a network of Internet-of-Things (IoT) devices in a home or other environment. The security device may also provide network security features such as a network firewall. In some implementations, the security device may run a blockchain node, and the blockchain could be used to establish a verifiable home identity. The security device may interact with external resources and/or services, such as utility services, e-commerce services, and so forth, through this secure mechanism.

Abstract: A digital camera processing system with software to manage taking photos with a digital camera. Camera software controls the digital camera. A downloaded software component controls the digital camera software and causes a handheld mobile device to perform operations. The operations may include instructing a user to have the digital camera take photos of a check; displaying an instruction on a display of the handheld mobile device to assist the user in having the digital camera take the photos; or assisting the user as to an orientation for taking the photos with the digital camera. Abstract: A computer-implemented method and system for performing analytics on telematics data to determine incidence of a relevant vehicle event and provide event notification. Telematics data is acquired from a data capture device associated with a vehicle and at least a portion of the telematics data is transmitted to a computer device configured to perform analytics on the captured telematics data. Analytics is performed on the computer device to determine if a relevant event has occurred regarding the vehicle.
