Abstract: Techniques provided herein relate to electronic authentication on public systems. A backend system receives at least one electronic data action request from a publicly available client system that is shared amongst a plurality of users. At least a portion of the primary authentication information is received from a secondary device separate from the publicly available client system. The electronic data action request is authenticated by determining if the primary authentication information matches expected primary authentication information that is expected to complete the electronic data action request. Performance of the electronic data action request is facilitated when the primary authentication information matches the expected primary authentication information.

Abstract: The APPARATUSES, METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR A VIDEO REMOTE DEPOSIT CAPTURE PLATFORM (hereinafter “RDC-Video”) provides a platform for remote deposit by obtaining images of a check from streaming video captured by a video camera, wherein the RDC-Video transforms captured check images and/or entered check deposit information inputs via RDC-Video components into deposit confirmation outputs. For example, in one embodiment, a user may employ a personal computer connected to a web camera, and/or a smartphone with a built-in camera to initiate the remote deposit by holding a check in front of the camera, and the RDC-Video may capture images of the check and send them to a financial institution for deposit processing.

Abstract: Described herein are systems and methods for managing a fuel dispensing account associated with fuel dispensing transactions. A fuel dispensing apparatus includes a receiver configured for wireless communication with a user device. The fuel dispensing apparatus receives a request to dispense fuel from the user device via the receiver and associates the fuel request with a primary user account stored in a computer database. A notification is sent to one or more users of the primary account requesting instructions regarding the fuel request. Fuel is dispensed from the fuel dispensing apparatus if instructions are received from a user of the primary account authorizing the request.

Abstract: A computer system for processing vehicle ownership support data includes an infrastructure platform which includes a plurality of hardware and software components, infrastructure services, APIs, and SDKs adapted to communicate in a communication network. The infrastructure platform receives telematics data such as vehicle identification data, driving performance data, vehicle operation data and vehicle sensor data for a corresponding vehicle. Such telematics data can be received from a vehicle device (Onboard Device (OBD)), or from a cloud-based telematics platform. The infrastructure platform identifies vehicle ownership support services associated with the at least one vehicle and analyzes the received telematics data associated with the identified services. The infrastructure platform provides vehicle ownership support services to a mobile application accessible at a customer's mobile device associated with the vehicle or the customer.

Abstract: Machine-readable storage media having instructions stored therein that, when executed by a processor of a mobile device, configure the mobile device to capture a check image for deposit and read a MICR line of the received check image. The mobile device is configured to present electronic images of the check to the user after the electronic images are captured. The mobile device may be configured to confirm that the deposit can go forward after optical character recognition (OCR) is performed on the check, the optical character recognition (OCR) determining an amount of the check, comparing the OCR determined amount to an amount indicated by the user, and reading a MICR line of the check.

Abstract: A digital camera processing system with software to manage taking photos with a digital camera. Camera software controls the digital camera. A downloaded software component controls the digital camera software and causes a handheld mobile device to perform operations. The operations may include instructing a user to have the digital camera take photos of a check; displaying an instruction on a display of the handheld mobile device to assist the user in having the digital camera take the photos; or assisting the user as to an orientation for taking the photos with the digital camera. The digital camera processing system may generate a log file including a bi-tonal image formatted as a TIFF image.

Abstract: A system, method and apparatus for capturing data from a plurality of users for providing online gameplay based on captured user sensor data. User sensor data is captured from a plurality of sensor capture devices relative to an associated user so as to be transmitted to a gameplay server. The gameplay server executes instructions to generate a user interface on a user's client computing device for providing gameplay on each user client portable computing device utilizing, and pertinent to, the captured sensor data.

Abstract: A system has a plurality of communications devices within a geographic area. Each device is capable of communicating from within the geographic area with any other device proximate the device, and is also capable of communicating from within the geographic area with a communications service having access to an area external to the geographic area if such communications service is operational and available to the device. At least one of the devices is a gateway device that communicates from within the geographic area with the communications service, and at least some of the devices are non-gateway devices that communicate from within the geographic area with the gateway device. Each non-gateway device communicates from within the geographic area with the area external thereto by way of the gateway device and the communications service communicated with by the gateway device.

A web site, accessed through a depositor's web browser, can be used to drive the process of collecting the check, but in some contexts (e.g., in less popular computing environments, such as those that do not run the most popular operating systems), it is economically infeasible to obtain the certificates that would be used to allow a program executing in the web browser to control the scanner. Thus, a depositor can be instructed to capture and upload images of the check in the form of files, where the image files are then presented for payment through a banking system.

Abstract: A method is described to increase the efficiency of the removal of defects from document images by reorienting the conceptual framework within which an image is filtered. Rather than arbitrarily applying a filter to an entire landscape of a document image, the disclosure describes a methodology by which a document image is separated into regions of darkness and regions of light, or viewed alternatively, regions of darkness and regions of lack of darkness. Filtering is then adaptively applied to each region to remove defects.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for making purchases at a merchant point-of-sale (POS) device using a mobile device. Transaction information may be communicated from the POS device to the mobile device and an authorization from the purchaser to proceed with the transaction returned to the POS device from the mobile device. After authorization, the POS device may communicate the transaction information together with an identifier of the mobile device to a financial institution to process payment. The financial institution may confirm the transaction with the purchaser at the mobile device using the identifier of the mobile device. Upon receiving a confirmation response from the mobile device, the financial institution may then transfer funds from a purchaser account to a merchant account.

Abstract: A method of routing a customer to a desired representative of a call center includes, in accordance with an embodiment of the present disclosure, receiving a communication from the customer. The method also includes identifying, within a database saved to a server, a customer account associated with the customer, and identifying data indicative of one or more life event entries saved to the customer account and corresponding with one or more life events of the customer. The method also includes applying the identified data indicative of the one or more life event entries to a history-based statistical models, where each history-based statistical model represents a corresponding call routing channel. The method also includes assigning a probability score for each history-based statistical model, where each probability score represents a likelihood that the corresponding call routing channel represented by the history-based statistical model is desired by the customer.

Abstract: A system and process for using telematics data to determine a vehicle operator. Telematics data is captured from a telematics device which retrieves data from a vehicle associated with a plurality of vehicle operators. A driver electronic signature is determined from the captured telematics data and then compared to determined driver signatures stored in memory and associated with the vehicle from which the telematics data is captured. A vehicle operator is then determined from comparing the determined driver signature with driver signatures stored in memory.

Abstract: A computer device and method for processing risk or loss related data to determine insurance underwriting, pricing, or other decisions contingent upon informatic and credit score data. An insurance underwriting decision is identified which is to be rendered regarding an insured. Informatic data is received from one or more of an insured property and vehicle associated with the insured. Credit score data relating to the insured is also received. Analytics is performed on the received informatic data and credit score data to determine the insurance underwriting, pricing, or other decision.

Abstract: An image of a check that is in the field of view of a camera is monitored prior to the image of the check being captured. The camera is associated with a mobile device. When the image of the check in the field of view passes monitoring criteria, an image may be taken by the camera and provided from the mobile device to a financial institution. The image capture may be performed automatically as soon as the image of the check is determined to pass the monitoring criteria. The check may be deposited in a user's bank account based on the image. Any technique for sending the image to the financial institution may be used. Feedback may be provided to the user of the camera regarding the image of the check in the field of view.
