  • Publication number: 20200257519
Abstract: A manager in a cloud system obtains hardware attributes of a physical computer to be provisioned before an operating system is installed in the physical computer. To that end, after remotely starting the physical computer, the manager sends to the physical computer upgrade instructions for a boot system of the physical computer. The upgrade instructions are executed by the physical computer in a boot operation to collect its hardware attributes and send the collected hardware attributes to the manager. Thereafter, the manager sends an image of an operation system to the physical machine for installation by the boot system on the physical computer.

  • Publication number: 20180305627
Abstract: An integrated apparatus of industrial furnace and biomass gasification system and a process of operating said system are disclosed. Hot flue gas containing high concentration of CO2 and water issued from an industrial furnace such as a glass furnace or a melting furnace for non-ferrous metals is introduced into a biomass gasification system as a heat source to promote the pyrolysis of biomass and/or as a gasification agent to generate syngas. The generated syngas is blended with solid-fuel such as petcoke before being introduced into the industrial furnace to facilitate ignition and combustion of petcoke. Overall CO2, NOx and SOx emission from the industrial furnace are reduced, and the lifetime of the industrial furnace is increased.

  • Patent number: 8217636
Abstract: A voltage control mode buck converter circuit includes a feedback amplifier providing a comparison signal and a storage circuit in communication with the comparison signal to store a storage comparison signal value. The storage circuit stores the operating conditions for the circuit during normal continuous conduction mode operation in response to sensing a load drop for the circuit. A switching circuit locks the feedback amplifier into the stored operating parameters while the converter circuit operates in non-continuous conduction mode. When the circuit transitions back into the continuous conduction operation mode, the feedback amplifier is already operating at conditions that are compatible with a continuous conduction operation mode.

  • Patent number: 8044644
Abstract: An over-current condition is detected in a synchronous DC-DC converter by sampling and holding a measured load current value. The load current is sampled while a low-side transistor is ON and then held when the low-side transistor is OFF. The held value is compared to a threshold value while the low-side transistor is OFF. The comparison occurs during the portion of the cycle when the low-side transistor is OFF so that a comparator has sufficient time in which to detect the over-current condition, even in high duty cycle applications.

  • Patent number: 8030909
Abstract: A synchronous buck converter operates in a PWM mode of operation and switches to light-load mode of operation under a light-load condition. When operating in the light-load mode, the synchronous buck converter transitions between a burst mode and an idle mode of operation. In the burst mode of operation, the converter operates with a fixed but increased duty ratio, with respect to the PWM mode of operation, that installs additional energy in an output capacitor. In the idle mode of operation, the high-side and low-side transistors are each turned off. To maximize energy savings and to quickly transition back to the PWM mode of operation if the load increases, a limit as to the number of allowed switching cycles when bursting is imposed and a minimum ratio of the number of clock cycles when idling to the number of switching cycles when bursting is set. Additionally, a comparator is provided to detect a sudden step-increase in the load to quickly switch the converter back to the PWM mode of operation.

  • Patent number: 7686627
Abstract: A rail-type grounding terminal structure composed of a metal grounding member and an insulating housing. The grounding member has better operation elasticity and can be easily tightly connected with a grounding rail. The grounding member includes a metal insertion leg mountable on a leaf spring mount, a bow section connected with the metal insertion leg and a first end and a second end respectively outward extending from the bow section and latched on a grounding rail. The metal insertion leg has a slightly outward deflected head end and a neck wall formed thereunder. When the metal insertion leg is mounted on the leaf spring mount, the leaf spring mount exerts a reaction force to urge the grounding member to tightly attach to lower side of the housing. Therefore, a gap is defined between the grounding member and the housing for a serviceman to separate the grounding member from the rail or connect the grounding member with the rail.
