  • Publication number: 20200289047
Abstract: The invention provides a fetal movement monitoring system which uses optical pattern sensing to detect fetal movements. Fetal movements provide a change in the optical path between the optical sensor and detector, such as a different proportion of amniotic fluid and fetus and/or a different contact pressure with the optical sensor arrangements. One or both of these effects may be detected based on analysis of the optical signals captured by the system.

  • Patent number: 10512423
Abstract: The invention relates to an electronic device for estimating energy consumption of a person. The electronic device uses a mathematical model based on acceleration data for estimating the person's energy consumption as a function of the actual performed activity and acceleration values. The acceleration values are converted to an estimate of energy consumption of a given activity by scaling a value of time integrated acceleration data with an activity scaling parameter. The activity scaling parameters for different activities have been determined off-line by comparing measured energy consumptions over e.g. a day with estimated energy consumptions over the same period, where the estimated values are determined using the mathematical model.

  • Publication number: 20190156953
Abstract: Techniques disclosed herein relate to analysis of subject progress and responsive generation of influencing digital content. In various embodiments, a plurality of sets of data points pertaining to health of a subject may be received (402) via input component(s) of computing device(s). Weight(s) may be assigned (404) to the data point(s). A time series of progress scores associated with the subject may be determined (406) based on data points of the corresponding set of data points and weight(s). Various types of analysis, such as auto-regressive integrated moving average (“ARIMA”) analysis, may be applied (408) to the time series of progress scores. Based on the analysis, future progress score(s) associated with the subject may be predicted (410). Influencing digital content may be generated/selected (412) based on the future progress score(s). The influencing digital content may be caused (414) to be presented to the subject via output component(s) of the computing device(s).

  • Patent number: 10241525
Abstract: A thermostatic valve is provided according to the present application. In the thermostatic valve, a relief ring movable upward and downward is provided in a cavity of a valve body. Under normal conditions, the relief ring abuts against a step on an inner wall of the cavity or another fixing portion via an elastic element, and the cavity is further provided therein with a first passage which can be opened or closed by upward or downward moving of the relief ring. In the case that the fluid pressure in the thermostatic valve is excessively large, the fluid can push the relief ring to compress the elastic element, thus the first passage in the relief ring is opened, and the first flow passage and the third flow passage may simultaneously allow circulation of the fluid, thereby may prevent damage caused by an excessively large fluid pressure in the thermostatic valve.
