Abstract: Digital pre-distortion (DPD) systems are often used to improve the linearity of a power amplifier in transmitters. These DPD systems are typically implemented in baseband (prior to modulation). However, ever increasing signal bandwidth requirements limits the practicality of DPD systems implemented in baseband. A DPD system in the radio frequency (RF) domain (as opposed to in baseband) can solve this problem and further improve a DPD system's ability to correct for distortions. The RF domain DPD system is upstream from a digital-to-analog converter, and performs DPD after a baseband signal is up-sampled into the RF domain (after the modulation process). When compared against a baseband DPD system, the RF domain DPD system can handle significantly wider bandwidth, and has an improved ability to linearize a wide variety of distortions present in the spectrum.

Abstract: An interface system includes a secure digital (SD) driver module to communicate with an SD card over a bus, a secure digital input/output (SDIO) driver module to communicate with an SDIO card over the bus, and an input/output port. A method of operating a host in the interface system includes coupling the bus to the SD card while a first mode is enabled, coupling the bus to the SDIO card while a second mode is enabled, and enabling the first mode in response to a request for access to the SD card. The method includes, while the first mode is enabled, (i) listening for a notification signal arriving from the SDIO card via the input/output port, indicating that an interrupt is pending at the SDIO card, and (ii) in response to the notification signal, enabling the second mode to allow the SDIO card to transmit the interrupt to the host.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a base material for high temperature alloy and a process for manufacturing the same. The base material includes following components (by weight): 10-45% Cr, 0.5-12% Nb, 0.7-2.5% Ti, ?9.0% Mo, ?8.0% W, ?2% Mn, ?1.0% Si, ?2.0% Al, ?0.5% C, ?0.032% O, ?0.032% N,?0.01% S, ?0.02% P, and balance being Fe and unavoidable impurities. The process for manufacturing the base material for high temperature alloy includes following steps: providing raw materials according to the target composition; charging the raw materials in a crucible uniformly layer and layer according to a certain sequence, smelting in vacuum condition; after the materials being melted completely, holding the melt at a temperature; and casting ingot, and cooling to obtain a base material for high temperature alloy.

The method includes enabling selection of one or more parameters of a desired natural language processing task, the one or more parameters intended for use by a trained and an untrained user, mapping the one or more selected parameters to a collection of one or more intervals of an input parameter to an optimization algorithm, and applying the optimization algorithm with the collection of one or more intervals of an input parameter to a model used by a natural language processing engine to produce a customized model.

Abstract: A phase locked loop comprises a loop filter and a charge pump circuit. The loop filter comprises a parallel capacitor, a serial resistor and a serial capacitor. A first terminal of the serial resistor is electrically connected to a first terminal of the parallel capacitor. A first terminal of the serial capacitor is electrically connected to the second terminal of the serial resistor, and a second terminal of the serial capacitor is electrically connected to a second terminal of the parallel capacitor. The charge pump circuit comprises a first charge pump and a second charge pump. The first charge pump is electrically connected to the first terminal of the serial resistor, and the second charge pump is electrically connected to the second terminal of the serial resistor. The phase lock loop can reduce output jitter and therefore increases the performance of the phase lock loop.

For example, a method comprises optimizing one or more parameters of a natural language processing system so as to improve a measure of quality of an output of the natural language processing system for a first type of data processed by the natural language processing system while maintaining a given measure of quality of an output of the natural language processing system for a second type of data processed by the natural language processing system. For example, the first type of data may have a substantive complexity that is greater than that of the second type of data.

Abstract: A method, an apparatus and an article of manufacture for determining a dropped pronoun from a source language. The method includes collecting parallel sentences from a source and a target language, creating at least one word alignment between the parallel sentences in the source and the target language, mapping at least one pronoun from the target language sentence onto the source language sentence, computing at least one feature from the mapping, wherein the at least one feature is extracted from both the source language and the at least one pronoun projected from the target language, and using the at least one feature to train a classifier to predict position and spelling of at least one pronoun in the target language when the at least one pronoun is dropped in the source language.

Abstract: A host assembly is communicatively coupled to a wireless device assembly via a first interface and via a second interface. A first signal is received at the wireless device assembly from the host assembly. The first signal indicates a request for the wireless device assembly to enter a host sleep mode of operation. In response to receiving the first signal, the wireless device assembly transmits a third signal to the host assembly, wherein the third signal indicates entry into the host sleep mode of operation. Subsequent to transmitting the third signal to the host assembly via the first interface, the wireless device assembly enters into the host sleep mode of operation. While in the host sleep mode of operation, the wireless device assembly transmits, via the second interface, the second signal, and, after transmitting the second signal to the host assembly, exits the host sleep mode of operation.

Abstract: Described are a method and device for determining three-dimensional position information of a surface of a translucent object having a wavelength-dependent transmittance and reflectance characteristics. The method includes illuminating the surface of the translucent object with optical radiation at a predetermined wavelength emitted from a pair of optical sources. Radiation scattered from the surface and below the surface is detected, and a phase of the optical radiation from one of the optical sources relative to a phase of the optical radiation from the other optical source is changed before again detecting the scattered radiation. The predetermined wavelength is selected so that the optical radiation scattered from below the surface and detected provides a substantially constant background intensity with respect to the optical radiation scattered from the surface and detected. Three-dimensional position information of the surface is calculated in response to the detected radiation.

Entry or exit may be delayed until after the confirmation signal is received. Abstract: Described are methods that enable rapid automated object classification of measured three-dimensional object scenes. Each method can be performed during a three-dimensional measurement procedure while data are being acquired or after completion of the measurement procedure using the acquired data. In various embodiments, an object scene is illuminated with an optical beam and an image is acquired. In some embodiments, the object scene is illuminated with a structured light pattern and a sequence of images of the object scene illuminated by the pattern at different spatial phases is acquired. Coordinates are determined for points in the one or more images and a translucence value is determined for each of the points. An object class is determined for each point based on the translucence value for the point. Optionally, additional information, such as grayscale or color image data for each point, is used to supplement the object class determination.

Abstract: An air purifier includes a shell with an air inlet and an air outlet. An electric field filter, an air passage and a blower are disposed inside the shell. The electric field filter includes a filter frame disposed at the air outlet and a grid base disposed under the filter frame. A filter is provided inside the filter frame. One end of the air passage connects with the grid base and the other end connects with the blower. The blower is disposed at the air inlet. The filter frame and the grid base are integrated as a hermetic whole. Due to the integrated configuration of the filter frame and the grid base, when removing out the electric field filter, the power is cut automatically. This effectively prevents an occurrence of the electroshock, and improves safety performance of the purifier. Furthermore, air leakage can be greatly reduced, for there is no gap between the filter frame and the grid base.
