    Abstract: A method and a device for determining a search space and for determining candidate control channel resources are provided in present invention. The method for determining the search space includes: determining the number of downlink control information bits of each type of control channel currently required to be monitored by a UE; determining a temporary search space corresponding to the each type of control channel according to a mapping relationship currently used by the UE; and determining that an actual search space corresponding to a selected type of control channel is all or a part of CCEs of a union of temporary search spaces corresponding to all or a part of control channels with the same number of the downlink control information bits, when the DCI bit number of one or more other control channels is the same as the DCI bit number of the selected type of control channel.

    Abstract: A system and method for mapping and decoding codewords in acknowledgement information communications are provided. A method for communications device operations includes determining a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) response for each component carrier (CC) in a set of configured CCs, thereby producing a set of HARQ responses, generating an information vector from the set of HARQ responses, encoding the information vector based on a (n, k) linear block code corresponding to the set of configured CCs, and transmitting the encoded information vector. A unique set of bits selected from the information vector is assigned to represent a HARQ response for each different CC in the set of configured CCs. The (n, k) linear block code is obtained by a linear transformation of an original (n, k) linear block code, where n is a length of code words, and k is a length of information vectors.

    Abstract: A base station (e.g., an evolved Node B) determines whether the physical broadcast channel (PBCH), reference signals (SCH) and common reference signals (CRS) are transmitted (or awaiting transmission) on a secondary component carrier (Scell) with the cell. The determination information is transmitted to a user equipment (UE) to inform the UE that the Scell transmissions do not include PBCH/SCH/CRS. As a result, the resource elements (REs) normally used to carry system information in the PBCH/SCH/CRS can be dynamically assigned (or reassigned) to the data channel. In this manner, the physical downlink shared channel (PBSCH) bandwidth can be increased by utilizing those resource elements that are normally reserved/assigned to the PBCH/SCH/CRS.

The present invention solves the transmission problem of a backhaul link control channel in an LTE-A relay system, so that a relay can receive control information sent by the eNodeB within a wider scope and that the complexity of blind detection of the relay is decreased.
