  • Publication number: 20090290982
Abstract: A deformable trailing edge section (3) of a wind turbine blade (1), at least part of said section (3) being formed in a deformable material. The blade section (3) comprises one or more cavities (5) being in connection with or connectable to a fluid source in a way that allows fluid to stream from the fluid source to the cavity or cavities (5), so that the shape of the deformable trailing edge section (3) and thereby the camber of the blade cross-section (3) is changeable by the pressure of fluid in the cavity or cavities (5) with insignificant changes of the thickness and chord wise length of the deformable trailing edge section. Furthermore a wind turbine blade (1) is described, having at least one of such trailing edge section (s) (3) and to a system (11) for mounting a blade section (3) on a main blade (2) of a wind turbine. In addition a method of manufacturing a deformable trailing edge section (3) of a wind turbine blade (1) is disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20090167021
Abstract: The purpose of the invention is to reduce the contribution of wind power installations to frequency errors on the grid, and preferably to contribute to the elimination of such errors. Thus, the method involves the use of PID control and/or control with hysteresis so as to regulate the active power injected into the grid, in view of the deviation between a measured grid frequency and the nominal grid frequency.

  • Publication number: 20080277354
Abstract: A system and method for treatment of water contaminated with organisms, in particular ballast water in ships, the system including a pump (5) pumping water from the sea trough a cavitation unit (7) and into one or more ballast tanks. The cavitation unit (7) will introduce a strong cavitation in the water, the cavitating action destroying any organic tissue and cell membranes of organisms present in the water. In the cavitation unit (7) hydrogen and steam are added to the water, while oxygen is removed. The oxygen-depleted water will exhibit a reduced corrosive effect on the ballast tanks.

  • Patent number: 6590013
Abstract: A hardener for use in urea-formaldehyde and urea-melamine-formaldehyde based adhesives comprises a polyvinyl acetate emulsion together with a metal chloride and an ammonium salt. The adhesive composition comprising a urea-formaldehyde or urea-melamine-formaldehyde resin, and the above hardener provides an increased curing rate, an acceptable viscosity, better adhesion and greater tolerance towards substrate type.

  • Patent number: 4052562
Abstract: A system for control of speech direction in duplex telephone circuits (e.g. hands-free telephones), derives a switching control signal proportional to both the immediate transmit-channel signal value, and a Regulating Value which is the ratio of the Receive-Channel Signal to the Transmit-Channel Signal under no-local-sound-source condition. Thus the Regulating Value is proportional to the local acoustic feedaround (Overhearing) signal between local loudspeaker to microphone. The Regulating Value responds to faster variations (caused by speech) to cause direction-switching, but merely compensates for slower variations (caused by movement of people or microphone in the local room). Switching (Breakthrough) of the microphone to On and the loudspeaker to Off also depends on the magnitude of the closed-channel (non-connected) microphone signal exceeding that of the open channel.

  • Patent number: 4009513
Abstract: A plurality of synthetic fiber yarns which have latent bulk by virtue of false twist texturing or stuffer box crimping are pulled from a creel in the form of a warp between a first pair of rolls and then a second pair of slower moving rolls, passing through a steam chamber therebetween. This produces a pre-shrinking and evens out differences in tension and contractile force within the yarn ends, which renders them especially suitable for further processing as a warp, as in warp printing or dyeing. Since slack may periodically develop in individual ends between the first rolls and steam chamber, the first rolls are occasionally opened instantaneously, causing the slack to be taken out, and the rolls are then brought back together.

  • Patent number: 3987249
Abstract: A system for addressed time multiplexed telecommunication comprising subscribers apparatus whose address selector supplies voltage levels which in a central exchange are converted to binary form and stored in address shift registers. Taken out of the registers the addresser's and addressee's addresses are converted to analogue form and compared with a step voltage from a step voltage generator, and the result of the comparison controls analogue switches which make the connection between the addresser and the addressee and break the connection when addresser or addressee presses an off-button.
