  • Publication number: 20110041815
Abstract: A diesel engine system and a method for operating said system are provided. The diesel engine system includes a diesel engine provided with an exhaust conduit including a controllable supercharger located upstream of a catalytic converter, a fuel injector located between the supercharger and the catalytic converter, a diesel particulate filter located downstream of the catalytic converter, and a control unit for controlling the engine system. The control unit is arranged to determine that a regeneration of the particulate filter is required, which regeneration is initiated when a predetermined condition is fulfilled. The fuel injector is arranged to inject a predetermined amount of fuel during a first stage of the regeneration, and the supercharger is arranged to vary the flow rate of exhaust during the injection of fuel. The catalytic converter is arranged to combust the injected fuel, and the combusted fuel is arranged to burn particulates trapped within the diesel particulate filter.

  • Publication number: 20090326718
Abstract: A device, method and system for automatic calibration of a container crane, the container crane being controlled by a system including a first sensor (LPS) and/or a second sensor (TPS), are provided. A calibration rig is arranged in a fixed position and includes a plurality of markers, each arranged at a known and fixed position and distance relative to one another. The markers may include a first marker with a first visual appearance, or active marker and/or a second marker with a second visual appearance, or passive marker. The active marker is preferably an illumination source, such as an IR source. A method for calibrating a container crane using the calibration device and a container control system including the calibration device and one or more computer programs are also described.

  • Publication number: 20080319573
Abstract: A method for optimizing the position of a plurality of containers in a block, including at least one crane configured to move the containers is provided. A crane control unit (CCU) is provided in which the following steps are performed: identifying a selected container to be moved from a current position CP within a sub-section of said block to a new position NP within the sub-section; calculating a number of container moves required facilitating the move of the selected container in previous step; arranging the required number of container moves in a queue for each crane; and performing the container moves as arranged in the queue by controlling said at least one crane. Also provided is a computer program, a computer-readable medium encoded with the computer program, and a system for optimizing the position of a plurality of containers in a block.

  • Publication number: 20080163616
Abstract: An apparatus for mixing liquid medium into a gaseous medium flowing through an exhaust pipe from an internal combustion engine is provided. The liquid medium is supplied to the exhaust pipe with varied mass flow via an injector nozzle directed into the exhaust pipe. The exhaust pipe has a mixer placed downstream of the injector nozzle and a flow path disposed parallel with the mixer and extending through a perforated surface.

  • Publication number: 20070289931
Abstract: A control device and system for controlling a suspended load of a container crane with a trolley, a spreader and load lines arranged in a four point suspension for lifting a load and an optical sensor for sensing a deflection position of an orthogonal axis of a container suspended under the spreader. Two or more actuators are arranged attached to at least one load for moving at least one said suspension point closer to or farther away from an imaginary center line by shortening and/or lengthening the at least one load line.

  • Patent number: 6433808
Abstract: A printer capable of operation with linered and/or liner-less media. Powder coated media surfaces, a silicone platen roller and tear-off blade are either designed into the media path or retrofitted into a linered media capable printer. To remove the requirement for realignment between the media path extrusion and the print head a media path extrusion cover designed to snap on to the media path extrusion is utilized.
