    Abstract: A head mounted display (HMD) and an image generating method thereof are provided. The HMD includes a display device, an optical converter, an optical shutter and an optical engine. The display device receives an AR image and/or an external image, and transmits a display image along a projection direction. The optical converter receives the display image and adjusts an output angle to project an output image to a target area. The optical shutter opens a transmission path for the external image to the display device during a first time period, and inhibits the transmission path during a second time period, where the first time period is longer than the second time period. A first luminance of the AR image provided by the optical engine in the first time period is lower than a second luminance of the AR image provided by the optical engine in the second time period.

The anode material has multilayer-graphene to serve as a carrier, nano-silicon which is adsorbed on the multilayer-graphene and both the multilayer-graphene and the nano-silicon serve as a core, silicon suboxide and the amorphous carbon layer to cover the multilayer-graphene and the nano-silicon, and a plurality of buffering holes which are disposed on the anode material to provide buffering space. An anode material of high quality is realized by coating multilayer-graphene which serves as a carrier of nano-silicon with silicon suboxide and with the amorphous carbon layer.

The programmable light source receives a driving signal, and adjusts a light-on status of each of the sub-light sources according to the driving signal. The image extractor extracts a detection image from the object. Wherein, the light splitting device receives at least one of the light beams and generates at least one reflection light beam to the lens, and the lens generates the detection light beam accordingly.

A pill feeder includes a first valve controlling an opening of the pill feeder. A chamber is arranged in communication with an outlet of the pill feeder, and a second valve when closed retains the pill within the chamber, and when open communicates with a passageway for the pill to exit the chamber. A microcontroller is configured to control operation of the first valve and the second valve. A magnetic nano-particle applicator deposits bio-compatible nano-magnetic particles in a magnetic pattern onto a surface of the pill within the chamber. A system for detection of the pill includes a wearable patch or article including a magnetic reader to read the magnetic pattern on a coated pill when consumed by the patient.

    Abstract: Scheduling automated visual inspection tasks includes capturing an image of a component to be inspected. A visual inspection model is formed with a model engine as a composite model of utility modules and functional modules to perform visual inspection of the image of the component. An abstract processing workflow of the visual inspection model is derived with a scheduler including dependencies between the utility modules and the functional modules. Performance of each of the functional modules is profiled with the scheduler by testing performance with available hardware resources to produce a performance profile. Parallel instances of each of the functional modules in a branch of the abstract processing workflow are scheduled with the scheduler according to the dependencies and the performance profiles. An indication of defects in the component is produced by processing the visual inspection model according to the scheduled functional modules.

    Abstract: Techniques for high speed handling of ultra-small chips (e.g., micro-chips) by selective laser bonding and/or debonding are provided. In one aspect, a method includes: providing a first wafer including chips bonded to a surface thereof; contacting the first wafer with a second wafer, the second wafer including a substrate bonded to a surface thereof, wherein the contacting aligns individual chips with bonding sites on the substrate; and debonding the individual chips from the first wafer using a debonding laser having a small spot size of about 0.5 ?m to about 100 ?m, and ranges therebetween. The first light source is used for generating a first light beam. The second light source is used for generating a second light beam.
