    Abstract: Methods and apparatus are provided for power saving in GNSS receivers. In one novel aspect, the ME tracking period, the ME interval, and the PE working period, the PE interval are dynamically determined based on the GNSS signal conditions and/or the user requirements. In one embodiment, acceptable provision estimated position fix are used. Estimated position result is generated at each GPS position interval if there is no position result generated by the PE working period. In another embodiment, the ME-tracking and/or the PE-working are adjusted to minimum operation needs by using ME-partial (MEP) and/or PE-partial (PEP). PEP is arranged aligned with MEP. In yet another embodiment, the PE working period is delayed such that the PE working period is aligned with the ME tracking period. The position result is generated based on a last epoch's measurement obtained in the previous ME tracking period.

    Abstract: A head mounted display (HMD) and an image generating method thereof are provided. The HMD includes a display device, an optical converter, an optical shutter and an optical engine. The display device receives an AR image and/or an external image, and transmits a display image along a projection direction. The optical converter receives the display image and adjusts an output angle to project an output image to a target area. The optical shutter opens a transmission path for the external image to the display device during a first time period, and inhibits the transmission path during a second time period, where the first time period is longer than the second time period. A first luminance of the AR image provided by the optical engine in the first time period is lower than a second luminance of the AR image provided by the optical engine in the second time period.

    Abstract: Techniques for high speed handling of ultra-small chips (e.g., micro-chips) by selective laser bonding and/or debonding are provided. In one aspect, a method includes: providing a first wafer including chips bonded to a surface thereof; contacting the first wafer with a second wafer, the second wafer including a substrate bonded to a surface thereof, wherein the contacting aligns individual chips with bonding sites on the substrate; and debonding the individual chips from the first wafer using a debonding laser having a small spot size of about 0.5 ?m to about 100 ?m, and ranges therebetween. A system is also provided that has digital cameras, a motorized XYZ-axis stage, and a computer control system configured to i) control a spot size of the at least one laser source and ii) adjust a positioning of the sample to align individual chips with a target area of the laser.
