A ring gear is rotatably mounted to and moveable relative to the driving member, and the ring gear is rotatable relative to the driving member about a center axis of the ring gear. A power device is received in the body. A transmission shaft is rotatably mounted to the body. The transmission shaft has a end connected to the power device, and another end configured to switch between a meshing state meshed with the ring gear and a disengagement state disengaging from the ring gear. An elastic device biases the ring gear causing the center axis of the ring gear being inclined relative to the axis in the disengagement state and being parallel with the axis in the meshing state.

The pivotal combination portion is pivotally connected with the pivot end, such that the claw and the main body pivotally move with respect to each other. In the manual mode, when a manually output torque reaches the threshold torque value, the user is notified that the screwing operation has been finished by the notification of the clutch device. Thus, the safety of usage is achieved.

When the clutch device switches to the disengagement state due to a resistance larger than a torque outputted by the power device, the body can be manually driven to overcome the resistance, forcibly driving the fastener through the large-resistance position. The clutch device returns to the coupling state after the fastener passes the large-resistance position.

When the jaw portion deforms elastically while wrenching the workpiece, the expanding groove increases the expanding effect within an elastic limit of the jaw portion, such that a corner between the force-receiving face in a first rotating direction and a sixth force-receiving face in a second rotating direction can move across the force-applying face into the evasive portion, avoiding damage to the slider and the first jaw resulting from failure in withstanding the reactive force from the workpiece. Thus, the open end wrench has high toughness and a long service life.
