Publication number: 20160136881Abstract: A fusion machine which can be top-loaded on very large polyolefin pipes and pipelines has jaws which consist of an upper half jaw and lower left and right complemental jaws which pivot on the half jaw. Left and right actuators connected between the complemental jaws and the half jaw operate in one direction to cause the complemental jaws to rotate to an opened condition in which the upper half jaw can be lowered onto and lifted from the pipes to be fused and in the other direction to cause the complemental jaws to rotate to a closed condition in which the pipes to be fused are gripped so substantially around their circumferences as to resist their deformation from round during manipulation by the machine. The top-loading machine minimizes the need for heavy equipment to load and unload pipe to and from the fusion machine.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 25, 2016Publication date: May 19, 2016Applicant: McElroy Manufacturing, Inc.Inventors: Jason A. Lawrence, James R. Perrault, David W. Porter, Timothy M. Thoman, Bobby Lee Murray

Publication number: 20160082195Abstract: A medication injector apparatus such as an injection pen. The injection pen includes a resettable, cartridge plunger drive assembly including an axially floating nut, a cartridge plunger engaging screw, and a drive clutch movable with the nut and which when rotated causes the screw to screw through the nut. When a cartridge assembly is mounted to the pen base, the floating nut and drive clutch are shifted proximally such that the drive clutch is in torque transmitting engagement with a rotatable drive member of the pen, such that rotation of that drive member results in drive screw advancement through the nut in the distal direction. When the cartridge assembly is not mounted to the pen base, the floating nut and drive clutch are biased distally to disengage the drive clutch from torque transmitting engagement with the rotatable drive member and to thereby allow the drive screw to be reset proximally through the nut to a position more retracted within the pen base.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 4, 2015Publication date: March 24, 2016Inventors: William Godwin Atterbury, Mark Gerard Diller, Peter Andrew Gaydos, Shannon Marie-Lynn Hoste, Donna Marie Taylor, Bobby Lee Walters, Steven Michael Madland, Douglas Edward Boyd

Patent number: 8344693Abstract: A rotationally rechargeable electrical apparatus includes an electronic device with a back, a center of mass and a battery. An electrical generator at the back of the device has a rotor secured to the device and a stator having a flat contact surface extending parallel to the back of the device. The rotor and stator are rotatably connected together so that they can rotate relatively about an axis that extends perpendicular to the contact surface and passes through the center of mass. A voltage regulating circuit is connected electrically between the generator and the battery so that when the apparatus is placed on a support so that the contact surface frictionally engages the support and the device is spun about the axis, the generator produces an electrical output that is conditioned by the regulator circuit to charge the battery.Type: GrantFiled: June 22, 2010Date of Patent: January 1, 2013Inventors: Bobby Lee Budziszek, Collin James McMaster

Patent number: 7905350Abstract: A gun case having a waterproof outer shell and an oil impregnated inside fabric liner, and conjoined sidelong and end access openings that allow the gun case to be quickly turned inside out and hung for cleaning and/or drying. Secure fold-over VELCRO® closure flaps are provided for both openings to solidly retain the gun within the gun case and to prevent accidental opening and release of the gun. Padding is disposed between the patterned outer shell fabric and inner liner to cushion the gun as it is transported, and to maintain the buoyancy of the gun case so that it floats even with a gun contained therein.Type: GrantFiled: March 19, 2004Date of Patent: March 15, 2011Inventors: Michael Tate Wood, Bobby Lee Windham
