  • Publication number: 20210211307
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to systems, methods, and computer-readable media for enhancing security of communications between instances of clients and servers while enabling rotation of server certificates (e.g., X.509 certificates). The systems described herein involve updating a client list of server certificates (e.g., a certificate thumbprint) without reconfiguring or re-installing a client and/or server application, starting a new session (e.g., a hypertext transfer protocol secure (HTTPS) session), or deploying new code. The systems described herein may passively or actively update a client list of certificates to enable a client to security verify an identity of a server instance in a non-invasive way that boosts security from man-in-the-middle types of attacks.

  • Patent number: 11042472
Abstract: Methods and apparatus are described by which artificial intelligence (AI) is used to enable the rapid development of reliable test suites for web and mobile applications. An AI agent guided by reinforcement learning explores an application-under-test (AUT), interacting with the AUT to traverse the flows through the AUT by seeking novel application states. A subset of these flows is then identified as being representative of the functionality of the AUT. The interactions between the AI agent and the AUT that define these identified flows form the basis for the test suite.

  • Publication number: 20210124136
Abstract: A light source unit generates an optical signal out of a bend-insensitive (“BI”) optical fiber that is compliant with a desired encircled flux (“EF”). The unit includes a light source to generate an optical light signal and a conventional multimode optical fiber coupled to receive the optical light signal from the light source at a first end. A modal conditioner is arranged to condition the optical light signal propagating along different modes of the conventional multimode fiber. A first bend-insensitive (BI) multimode optical fiber has an input end, the input end of the first BI multimode optical fiber being coupled at a second end of the conventional multimode optical fiber to receive the conditioned optical light signal from the conventional multimode fiber. The output from the first BI multimode optical fiber outputs an optical signal having the desired EF.

  • Publication number: 20210099451
Abstract: An authentication system includes an authentication module maintaining a store of credentials for a set of users. In response to an identity specified by credentials provided from a requestor address not being found in the store of credentials, the authentication module transmits an authentication failure response. In response to the provided credentials matching selected credentials, the authentication module transmits an authentication success response. The authentication system includes an analyzer module configured to determine a number of identity-not-found failures corresponding to a first address, identify a triggering event in response to the number exceeding a predetermined threshold, and, in response to the triggering event, add the first address to a block list.
