  • Patent number: 6921140
Abstract: A cutter bar is provided for trimming debris away from the wheel-track interface of a tracked vehicle. A pivot attachment is provided wherein a knife having a cutting edge is removably mounted to a bracket by way of fasteners which will shear when a pre-selected force is applied to them. The bracket is mounted to the vehicle structure so that the knife is disposed in close proximity to the drive wheel and endless track of the vehicle. Accordingly, when a piece of tough debris is encountered by the knife edge some of the fasteners will shear and the knife pivots out of the way so that the debris can pass by without causing damage to the wheel or track. The knife and fasteners being readily serviceable with inexpensive parts.

  • Patent number: 6908163
Abstract: A bucket assembly for a refrigerator door includes a bucket frame and a bucket. The bucket frame includes a rear portion, opposing side portions and at least two mounting members. The mounting members detachably support the bucket frame on a plurality of support elements from an inner liner of the refrigerator door. The bucket includes a front wall, a back wall, a bottom wall, opposing side walls and a keeper element. The keeper element is provided to support the bucket on the bucket frame or, alternatively, respective ones of the plurality of support members. When supported on the bucket frame, the bucket is pivotable relative to the bucket frame. Therefore, the bucket can be selectively mounted for stationary or tilt-out modes of use depending upon whether or not the bucket frame is interposed between the bucket and the inner liner.

  • Patent number: 6665868
Abstract: A method, system, and computer program product for optimizing recognition of presentation space data. Presentation space data is sent from a legacy host application to a workstation. A workstation application monitors arrival of multiple predetermined presentation space definitions, and invokes an appropriate target object to process each recognized presentation space of interest. Prioritization techniques are used to optimize the recognition process, whereby higher priority definitions are processed first. A time of day heuristic is defined, which influences priority of presentation space recognition according to the time of day in which specific presentation space data typically arrives at the user's workstation. Priority pools may be used to provide a desired granularity of priority. Priority may be learned dynamically by the implementation, and may be initialized explicitly (or defaulted). Priority of a definition may be demoted if an inactivity timer expires.

  • Publication number: 20030084074
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a method and system for validating remote database updates over a network. A local database record and a remote database record may be compared and exceptions may be generated. Each exception may describe a discrepancy between the remote and local database records. An exception identifier may be associated with each exception, where the exception identifier may be associated with an identifier of the record. An event identifier may be associated with each event in the update, where the event identifier may be associated with an identifier of the record. The events and exceptions that correspond to the record may be compared to determine whether the update is valid.

  • Publication number: 20030084075
Abstract: A method and system for updating a remote database over a network. A plurality of periodic updates, called sendfiles, based on incremental changes to a local database are generated. Each of the periodic updates includes at least one transaction. An initialization update, called an initializing sendfile, including a version of the local database at a start time is generated. Additionally, an identifier associated with the last periodic update generated before the start time and an identifier associated with the last transaction committed prior to the start time are generated.

  • Patent number: 6273530
Abstract: The adjustment mechanism of the present invention is mounted to a frame and comprises an alignment cam that is pivotally mounted to the frame by a tension link pivot pin. The alignment cam is provided with an actuating arm that is coupled to a longitudinally extendible adjusting member. The longitudinally extendible adjusting member comprising a screw jack. A tension link is pivotally mounted to the tension link pivot pin. Camming surfaces on the alignment cam are skewed with respect to the transverse axis defined by the tension link pivot pin so that rotation of the alignment cam twists the tension link and thereby the idler wheel predominately about a vertical axis. Albeit to a lesser degree, rotation of the alignment cam also twists the tension link and idler about a longitudinally extending horizontal axis. Therefore by extending or retracting the screw jack, the toe-in/toe-out orientation of the idler wheel can be adjusted.

  • Patent number: 5958013
Abstract: A session is conducted with an application resident on a host computer by loading terminal information at a computer, operatively associated with the host computer and which is part of a network including a plurality of resource locations, from a host access resource location of the plurality of resource locations. The terminal emulation information is processed to conduct a session between the computer and the application. A resource location of the plurality of resource locations is then accessed from the computer while the session persists. The terminal emulation information may be downloaded to the computer from a server of the network. According to one aspect, a common environment capable of being produced under a plurality of different computer operating systems, e.g., a Java environment, is produced at the computer. The terminal emulation information is processed under the common environment to thereby conduct a session between the computer and the application.

  • Patent number: 5923376
Abstract: A method for compressing related data sets of a sequence is disclosed. The method compares domain blocks from a current frame buffer to range blocks in a previous frame buffer or vector quantization ("VQ") tables to generate codes. The method includes determining an initial codeword that represents a domain block of a current frame buffer in reference to a selected range block in a previous frame buffer. The selected range block is identified by a best measurement determined from an initial type of search performed on a first group of range blocks in the previous frame buffer. A cost factor is generated for coding the initial codeword. A first estimated cost of a codeword representing the domain block in reference to a second range block is determined. The second range block is identified by an estimated best measurement determined for a second type of search performed on a second group of range blocks.
