  • Patent number: 11198149
Abstract: An apparatus for spreading particulate material has a bin for holding particulate material, a rotatable disc for broadcasting the particulate material to a ground surface, a conveyor for conveying the particulate material in a particulate material path from the hopper to the rotatable disc, and a plurality of sluices situated in the particulate material path between the bin and the rotatable disc. Each sluice receives a portion of the particulate material and delivers the portion of particulate material to a radial and/or angular position on the rotatable disc. At least one of the sluices is independently moveable to adjust the radial and/or angular position on the rotatable disc to which the portion of particulate material from the at least one independently moveable sluice is delivered.

  • Patent number: 11190565
Abstract: Within a portion of a currently executing compiled streams application according to a request to modify a configuration of the portion, a placement is performed of an operator of the currently executing compiled streams application into a processing element, wherein the currently executing compiled streams application has a configuration assigned before application execution began. In response to the placement, a resource allocation corresponding to the placement is performed according to the request, the resource allocation specifying a resource assigned to the processing element. The processing element is activated to execute the operator according to the placement and the resource allocation.

  • Patent number: 11157323
Abstract: According to a request to modify a configuration of the portion, a portion of a currently executing compiled streams application is modified by computing a current composite load on a resource used by an executing processing element. As a part of modifying the configuration, within the portion according to the request, a composite load on a first candidate resource is predicted. Based on the predicted composite load, a configuration modification is generated based on a predicted throughput improvement resulting from migrating the processing element to the first candidate resource. The processing element is migrated, resulting in a throughput improvement, to a target resource selected from a set of candidate resources, a resource in the set of candidate resources categorized based on a predicted second composite load resulting from migrating the processing element to the second candidate resource according to the configuration modification.

  • Patent number: 11144980
Abstract: Various embodiments relate generally to data science and data analysis, computer software and systems, and control systems to provide a platform to facilitate implementation of an interface, and, more specifically, to a computing and data storage platform that implements specialized logic to facilitate predictive consumption of a sample of an item in accordance with an automatically adaptive schedule, for example, via an interface. In some examples, a method may include identifying data representing a replica of an item for transmission to a location associated with an electronic account, identifying a characteristic associated with a user or an item, predicting a date of consumption of the replica, and generating a subset of data included in an electronic message to initiate executable instructions to generate feedback regarding the replica relative to the date of consumption, among other things.

  • Publication number: 20210285611
Abstract: A light assembly and method for steering a vehicle headlight illumination pattern. In one aspect, a method includes providing a processor programmed to perform the steps of: illuminating a subset of consecutive LEDs in the line including LEDs associated with the first and second edge illumination fields; as the direction of the vehicle wheels changes: (i) fading the LED associated with one of the first and second illumination fields off while simultaneously fading the LED associated with the other of the first and second illumination fields on thereby changing the illumination pattern; and (ii) repeating step (i) so that the illumination pattern tracks the direction of the vehicle wheels.

  • Publication number: 20210209001
Abstract: A method, system and computer program product for facilitating remote debugging of parallel regions in stream computing applications. A stream computing management server (SCMS) communicates a list of processing elements to a debugging interface. Responsive to setting a debugging breakpoint for a processing element of the list of processing elements, the SCMS receives a command to enable remote debugging for the selected processing element. In this regard, the processing element is a part of a parallel channel in a distributed processing environment. The SCMS maps the processing element to an attachment information in the distributed environment. The SCMS dynamically attaches a remote debugger to the processing element based on the attachment information.

  • Publication number: 20210129739
Abstract: A headlight system for a banking vehicle is provided. The headlight system includes a plurality of optical assemblies being arranged about an optical horizon and an optical vertical axis. Each of the plurality of optical assemblies includes an illumination source and an optical element. Each of the illumination sources is configured to direct light toward a corresponding one of the optical elements to produce an illumination region. The illumination regions combine to form an illumination pattern that includes at least one illumination region that is radial and is positioned relative an optical origin.
