  • Patent number: 10574747
Abstract: Implementations disclosed herein can be used to improve the distribution of digital content in a peer-to-peer network. In certain embodiments, computing devices are mapped into different groups based on location information, and inter-group information, including historical inter-group information associated with at least one of inter-group data transfer rate information and inter-group availability information, is accessed and used to identify a first group of computing devices to send download requests for digital content, wherein the first group includes a first number of idle and available computer devices greater than a number of idle and available computer devices of another group of the computing devices. The download request for the digital content is effected or recommended to be sent from a second computing device mapped to a second group of the computing devices to a first computing device mapped to the first group.

  • Patent number: 10307548
Abstract: A tracking system for medical devices which may include a closure and a container and a method for implementation the tracking system. Packaging removably retains the closure therein and a label is connected to the closure in an at least initially reduced orientation within the packaging. The packaging is structured for receipt of at least a portion of the container to establish an attached relation to the closure, whereupon the attached closure and container are concurrently removed from the packaging. The label is disposed in an expanded orientation and connected to both the closure and the container and includes a coded identifier having at least first and second coded segments. The coded identifier, including the first and second coded segments, include coded indicia may be machine readable and structured to define an identifying, matching relation of the closure and the container.

  • Patent number: 10300263
Abstract: A closure assembly structured to be attached in flow restricting relation to a medical connector and removed therefrom utilizing a push-on and twist-off manipulation. The closure assembly comprises a cap having a preferably male flow restricting portion, wherein the cap is operatively disposed in removable, flow restricting attachment to a female medical connector. A plurality of segments collectively define a sidewall of the cap and are individually and collectively movable between an open orientation and a closed orientation relative to at least the flow restricting portion and a medical connector attached thereto. The closed orientation comprises the plurality of segments disposed in covering, retaining relation to the attached medical connector and the open orientation comprises an outward disposition of the plurality of segments and an accessible, exposure of the flow restricting portion. A tamper evident structure may be operatively associated with a housing assembly of the closure assembly.

  • Patent number: 10166343
Abstract: A noise tamper evident cap assembly for a medical injection device is provided. The assembly includes a sleeve assembly having a sidewall formed circumferentially around a tip cap, and being permanently affixed to a bottom cap. At least one noise fin is formed along an interior of the side wall and disposed in at least partially obstructing and overlying relations relative to a bottom portion of said tip cap, such that the removal of the tip cap will cause an interaction with said noise fin(s) and create an audible indicator. The tip cap is removably connected to the bottom cap via an engagement mechanism, which is also obstructed by the noise fin(s). The bottom cap is structured and dimensioned to enclose a dispensing portion of the medical injection device.

  • Patent number: 10129334
Abstract: Telemetry data from a plurality of peer computers of a peer-to-peer network is aggregated via a computer network. Each of the plurality of peer computers sends telemetry data relating to transfer of a digital content item within the peer-to-peer network. A designated peer computer is quarantined from transferring a digital content item within the peer-to-peer network according to one or more health metrics of the peer-to-peer network derived from the telemetry data aggregated from the plurality of peer computers.

  • Patent number: 9886730
Abstract: Methods for communicating medical information using a wearable item, such as a bracelet, comprising a QR code. In some implementations, the wearable medical item comprises a backup telephone number for obtaining medical information related to a wearer of the medical item and a security code and/or patient ID. Upon receiving a telephone call at the backup telephone number and receiving the security code and/or the patient ID and validation of the security code and/or the patient ID, medical information related to the wearer of the wearable medical item may be received, which may provide for a backup way of obtaining the medical information in the event that a first responder or other person accessing the wearable item cannot scan the QR code.

  • Patent number: 9855191
Abstract: A shield assembly for enclosing and restricting access to the port of a container including a tamper evident structure. A housing includes two segments movable between closed and opened orientations. A hollow interior of the housing, when in the closed orientation, substantially corresponds to the enclosed port. A lock assembly includes male and female members wherein a frangible structure interconnects the female member in engaging relation to the male member in a locked orientation. Passage of the male member through the female member from the locked position into an unlocked position results in detachment of the frangible structure and an enlargement of the female member sufficient to restrict the lock assembly from assuming the locked position. A tracking assembly is included and operative to identify and distinguish a plurality of shield assemblies and/or their components from one another.

  • Patent number: 9781056
Abstract: Telemetry data from a plurality of peer computers of a peer-to-peer network is aggregated via a computer network. Each of the plurality of peer computers sends telemetry data related to transfer of a digital content item within the peer-to-peer network. A content-acquisition request querying for a recommended content source to provide a first digital content item is received from a first peer computer of the peer-to-peer network via the computer network. A response to the content-acquisition request is sent to the first peer computer via the computer network. The response identifies a second peer computer of the peer-to-peer network that has the first digital content item as the recommended content source. The second peer computer is selected according to a peer selection metric derived from the telemetry data aggregated from the plurality of peer computers.
