  • Patent number: 11042354
Abstract: An electronic device and a method for audio adjustment control for a wireless device is provided. The electronic device detects a new connection, that differs from a prior connection, between the electronic device and the wireless device. An audio communication through the prior connection is based on first audio information stored in the electronic device. The electronic device further receives second audio information from the wireless device based on the new connection. The second audio information is different from the stored first audio information and an audio setting of the wireless device is configured based on the second audio information. The electronic device further adjusts the stored first audio information based on the second audio information received from the wireless device and transmits an audio stream to the wireless device based on the adjusted first audio information.

  • Patent number: 11005802
Abstract: An electronic device and method for determination of importance for undelivered messages is provided. The electronic device retrieves a set of messages of a time interval from a stored plurality of messages. The set of messages are associated with a first recipient device of the plurality of recipient devices. The electronic device extracts at least one of body information or sender information from a first message from the retrieved set of messages. The electronic device determines a relationship between a sender of the first message and a user associated with the first recipient device, based on one or more words included in the extracted body information or based on the extracted sender information. The electronic device determines a first importance score for the first message based on the determined relationship. The electronic device transmits the first message to the first recipient device based on the determined first importance score.

  • Patent number: 10944544
Abstract: A method and apparatus for reducing a variable number of pre-key bits to a fix key size is disclosed. The resulting key is used with a symmetric block cipher to descramble content. By being able to directly adapt a large and variable number of bits, it is possible to use cryptographic algorithms that were not thought possible, such as the output of modem public key and hashing functions, in order to create a key to directly use with a symmetric block cipher. Some or all of the pre-key bits may be used in the creation of the key.

  • Patent number: 10943268
Abstract: A display device “app” maintains the processor and graphics chip of the device energized but deenergizes the display responsive to an “off” command. The energized components are used in the background for cooperative computer tasks such as bitcoin mining that can lead to remuneration, with any remuneration so received being credited to an account. When a viewer wished to view content that requires payment, the account is debited accordingly, and no further payment is demanded, and advertisements are omitted from the content. Should the account be short of necessary funds to pay for the demanded content, the “app” can present advertisements in the content and/or require input of payment.

  • Patent number: 10916250
Abstract: An application on a mobile phone or tablet computer or eyeglasses listens to the speech of a profoundly deaf person and interprets it in real time. The voice recognition can be trained to the voice of the profoundly deaf person. A display such as a small tablet display which can be hung around the speaker's neck can present text output by the voice recognition module to allow someone to read the text. The application can then detect speech from the listener and display text converted from the speech to the deaf person through glasses or to a cell phone that is being held by hand or to the tablet, or to a different tablet that the previous listener has hung around his or her neck. In case of the same tablet the text from the listener's speech can be shown upside down so that the deaf person can look down and read the text.

  • Patent number: 10887525
Abstract: An electronic apparatus, method, and non-transitory computer-readable medium are provided for delivery of notifications for feedback over visual quality of images. The electronic apparatus determines, from a plurality of categories, a category of the image frame based on imaging information associated with the image frame or an object of interest. The electronic apparatus selects a set of scoring parameters for the image frame from a plurality of scoring parameters based on the determined category. The set of scoring parameters corresponds to a defined visual quality for the determined category. The electronic apparatus estimates score information for the set of scoring parameters based on deviation of a value of at least one scoring parameter of the selected set of scoring parameters from a set of threshold values. The electronic apparatus outputs a notification based on the score information. The notification corresponds to feedback on a visual quality of the image frame.

  • Patent number: 10885339
Abstract: A head-mounted device includes a first image capturing device, a transparent display, and circuitry. The first image capturing device captures an image of a scene in a line-of-sight (LOS) of a wearer of the head-mounted device. The circuitry receives an audio segment that corresponds to audio content. The circuitry determines a level of each image characteristic of a background portion and a foreground portion of the captured image. The circuitry estimates a first region on a display portion of the transparent display for display of text information associated with the received audio segment. The circuitry determines a level of each display characteristic from a set of display characteristics for the text information based on the estimated first region and the determined level of each image characteristic. The circuitry controls the display of the text information in the estimated first region of the display portion of the transparent display.

  • Patent number: 10885893
Abstract: An electronic device includes a display screen and circuitry. The circuitry receives a first frequency modulated (FM) signal from a first FM radio transmitter, via a first FM radio channel. The first FM signal comprises a broadcast data signal that includes an audio segment of aural information of a performer-of-interest at of a live event, text information associated with the audio segment, and synchronization information. The synchronization information is associated with the text information and the audio segment. The circuitry extracts the synchronization information from a plurality of data packets of the broadcast data signal. The circuitry extracts a portion of the text information from the extracted plurality of data packets of the broadcast data signal based on the extracted synchronization information. The circuitry controls display of the extracted portion of the text information on the display screen.

  • Publication number: 20200387538
Abstract: An electronic device includes circuitry, firmware, and software that determines identification information associated with a first performer-of-interest at a live event and retrieves a first set of audio tracks from a plurality of audio tracks based on the determined identification information. The circuitry receives a first audio segment associated with the first performer-of-interest from an audio capturing device. The circuitry compares a first audio characteristic of the first audio segment with a second audio characteristic of a first audio portion of each of the first set of audio tracks. The circuitry determines a first audio track based on the comparison between the first audio characteristic and the second audio characteristic. The circuitry identifies a start position of the first audio track based on the first audio segment associated with the first audio track. The circuitry controls a display of the first lyrics information of the first audio track.

  • Publication number: 20200388270
Abstract: Speech synthesizing devices and methods are disclosed for mimicking the voices of real-life children in cartoons and other content. A text-to-speech deep artificial intelligence model can be used to do so, with the model being trained using audio recordings of the child speaking as well as text corresponding to the words that are spoken by the child in the audio recordings. The model may then be used to produce various audio outputs in the voice of the child that are inserted into the cartoon or other content, either into vacant portions of the content and/or as replacement for existing audio of the content.
