  • Publication number: 20120186016
Abstract: A cover for rest supports such as pillow cases, seat cushions, headrests, armrests, bedding and pet bedding is disclosed with layered secure spare flaps. A plurality of spare flaps are attached in respective layers to the cover at an end of each flap and another end is successively folded around the cover and secured thereto to provide additional unused resting surfaces for a person or an animal. The spare flaps therefore provide multiple fresh resting surfaces between launderings. Embodied flaps may also be disposably detached from the cover to preclude launderings altogether. The layered flaps may include use indicia and be to secured to each other and a rest support cover via a fastener on a flap and a complementary fastener disposed respectively on the cover. Disclosed fasteners include thin magnets, hook and loop, grommet and tie, button and hole and ganged hole and post pairs and the like.

  • Patent number: 8182136
Abstract: A paint mixer support and tray apparatus providing a pounding station for reclosing a paint container having friction fit lid. The support allows for vertically supporting up to two paint mixers, each supported on a separate horizontal plate. The tray is movable between a horizontal operating position wherein the paint container may be placed on the tray and the lid pounded down against the container, and a vertical storage position wherein the tray is pivoted up out of the way, where it may rest against a paint mixer, retained there by magnets. In the absence of an upper paint mixer, the tray may be further pivoted to rest against the upper plate resulting in a shipping position for the tray and stand. The tray may have a pair of arms in contact with the stand to support the tray in the operating position.

  • Publication number: 20090313309
Abstract: Information is stored in a data pattern. The data pattern includes an identity table, a version table that includes at least one reference to the identity table, and an audit table that includes at least one reference to the version table. The identity table stores information identifying the information. The version table stores version information identifying one or more versions of the information identified in the identity table. The audit table stores audit information identifying when each of the one or more versions of the information was modified. The audit table may also store effectiveness information identifying when each of the one or more versions of the information is in effect.

  • Publication number: 20090128455
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for mitigating or substantially eliminating pixel burn-in on phosphor-based display panels. A visual display includes a display installation and a computer. The display installation may include a display panel having including a plurality of pixels each with a bit depth and an interface for receiving a video input and for driving the display panel. The computer is configured to determine a primary burn value for each of the pixels for a primary period of time, and to determine a secondary burn value for each of the pixels for a secondary period of time. The computer determines the secondary burn values such that when a pixel is driven at the secondary burn value thereof for the secondary period of time, an average value of the pixel for the primary and secondary periods of time is approximately equal to one-half of the bit depth of the pixel.

  • Publication number: 20080271385
Abstract: A tub assembly is provided with a tub and a surround wall. The surround wall is spaced from a nail flange on the tub by a desired distance with a simple wall fastener. The wall fastener clips onto the nail flange, and has a forward face spaced from the nail flange by a desired distance. The forward face provides a stop and securement surface for the surround wall. The wall fastener includes a clip portion that clips onto the nail flange, and has a plurality of discrete clip portions. The clip portions can be broken away from the wall fastener at locations which will be aligned with a wall stud. In this manner, the wall fastener can be quickly clipped onto the nail flange of the tub once the tub is installed. The surround wall can then be simply adhered to a forward face of the wall fastener, such that the entire tub assembly can be easily and properly assembled.

  • Publication number: 20060210494
Abstract: The present invention provides a biocompatible coating comprising calcium phosphate that is functionally graded across the thickness of the coating. The coating, which preferably includes hydroxyapatite, is particularly useful for coating implants, such as dental or orthopedic implants. The functionally graded coating is generally crystalline near the interface with the surface of the implant, with crystallinity and crystal diameter decreasing toward the outer layer of the coating. The invention further provides methods for preparing a coated implant comprising a functionally graded calcium phosphate coating thereon.

  • Publication number: 20060091586
Abstract: A laminated article includes a first layer coated onto the mold to provide a smooth show surface. The first layer is covered with subsequent structural layers that comprise reinforcement material for providing the desired rigidity and strength required for the finished laminated article. An opening is surrounded by a surface and the surface is treated to provide a smooth and flat finish of a desired thickness for sealing with a subsequently installed plumbing fixture. The surface is prepared with an application device and a plastic sheet. The plastic sheet is placed over the surface and the device is pressed against the plastic sheet and into the third layer. The device presses against the plastic sheet and into the third layer to both smooth and flatten the surface to a desired finish.

  • Publication number: 20050211708
Abstract: The idea behind this invention is the ability to “re-seal” an opened beverage can. The manner in which this will be accomplished is by tightly fitting a piece of aluminum between the base of the top of the beverage container and the tab of the beverage container. The piece of aluminum will swivel with the tab 180 degrees to temporarily close the can.
