  • Publication number: 20230074313
Abstract: A vehicle includes a traction battery, an electric machine powered by the traction battery and configured to power wheels of the vehicle, and a thermal-management system. The thermal-management system includes a battery loop, a cabin heating loop, and a valve configured to fluidly connect the battery loop and the cabin heating loop when in a first position and configured to fluidly isolate the battery loop and the cabin heating loop when in a second position. A controller is programmed to, responsive to (i) battery heating being requested, (ii) a temperature of the battery being greater than a lower threshold, and (iii) cabin heating being requested, actuate the valve to the first position to heat a cabin and the battery.

  • Publication number: 20220357755
Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to dynamic power curve throttling. In an exemplary embodiment, a computer-implemented method for enabling dynamic throttling of an engine includes graphically displaying a graph of a linear throttle line for the engine including an idle speed in revolutions per minute (RPM) and one or more operating speeds in revolutions per minute; using a graphical user interface to alter the linear throttling line into a non-linear dynamic throttling line; and generating a table based on the non-linear dynamic throttling line, the table including dynamic throttle increments that vary based on RPM and that are usable by a controller for dynamic throttling of the engine.

  • Publication number: 20220354638
Abstract: A prosthetic heart valve includes a collapsible stent and a valve assembly disposed within the stent. A first cuff is disposed adjacent the stent. A second cuff having a distal edge facing the outflow end of the stent is disposed about the stent radially outward of the first cuff and the stent. The stent may include a plurality of fingers each having a first end coupled to a corresponding cell of the stent and a free end adapted to extend radially outward of the corresponding cell. The distal edge of the second cuff may be coupled to the fingers at spaced locations around the circumference of the stent to position the distal edge radially outward from the corresponding cells at the spaced locations. Various stent struts may be tapered to reduce the stent circumference in the collapsed condition, and to improve the fatigue resistance and/or bendability of the stent.

  • Publication number: 20220327185
Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to key fobs and menu access authorization for control panels via pairing with user devices. In exemplary embodiments, a method generally includes pairing a user device (e.g., smartphone, Bluetooth-enabled device, etc.) to a control panel (e.g., engine control panel, etc.) such that the user device is operable as or similar to a key fob for the control panel. After the initial pairing and entry of the user's menu access level PIN into the control panel, the control panel will thereafter automatically power up or wake up, pair with the user device, and grant menu access level rights based on the previously entered user's menu access level PIN when the user device is within range of the control panel and/or the user device manually connects with the control panel.

  • Publication number: 20220265293
Abstract: In embodiments of an obstruction removal device, system, and/or method, a removal tool is disposed at a distal end of a delivery tool and configured to at least partially separate an obstruction from an inner surface of a vasculature. An expandable member is also coupled to the delivery tool. The expandable member includes a proximal end that is free or slidably coupled to the delivery tool. The proximal end of the expandable member is configured to invert or slide toward a distal end of the expandable member, thereby causing the expandable member to surround at least a portion of the obstruction and the removal tool so that the obstruction is captured between the expandable member and the removal tool, when the delivery tool is withdrawn from the vasculature to remove the removal tool and the obstruction from the vasculature.

  • Publication number: 20220233208
Abstract: In embodiments of an obstruction removal device, system, and/or method, an expandable member is configured to be slidably coupled to a guide wire. The expandable member is configured to surround at least a portion of an obstruction captured by a stentriever as the expandable member transitions from the expanded state to the contracted state, i.e., when the guide wire is removed from a vasculature to remove the stentriever and the obstruction from the vasculature. A first locking member is located at a base of the expandable member. The first locking member is configured to engage a second locking member that is located on the guide wire, the stentriever, or an inner surface of a guide catheter, thereby coupling the expandable member to the guide wire, the stentriever, or the inner surface of the guide catheter when the expandable member is deployed within the vasculature.

  • Publication number: 20220229899
Abstract: Embodiments are directed to managing sandboxed application extensions. A first request that include includes information that identifies an extension may be provided to an extension server. Information included in a first response may be employed to instantiate an extension shell that corresponds to the extension and embed it in the hosting application such that the extension shell is associated with a first security policy included in the first response. A second request may be provided to the extension server based on information included in the extension shell such that the second request includes an identifier associated with an extension body that corresponds to the extension shell. The first security policy or the second security policy may be employed to enable one or more of the extension shell or the extension body to just access the hosting application or just access the extension server.

  • Patent number: 11346706
Abstract: Items may be stored on a fixture of a facility using one or more accessories, such as trays or bins. Weighing modules that include one or more load cells may be mounted to a crossbar of the fixture. The accessories of the fixture may then be mounted to the crossbar via the weighing modules. The load cells within each weighing module can collect weight data associated with items stowed in the accessories that are coupled to the weighing module. When a weight change is detected at the fixture, a particular load cell is identified as the source of the weight change. Once a load cell is identified, the accessory coupled to the load cell is identified, as well as the types of items stowed therein. Interaction data can then be determined to indicate a type of item that was added to or removed from the accessory of the fixture.
