  • Patent number: 10382510
Abstract: A device includes a first interface, and a processor. The first interface connects to a wide area network and communicates with a first electronic device via the wide area network. The processor is configured to initiate transmission of a request while the processor is disconnected from a local area network. The processor is configured to initiate transmission of a second request to a second electronic device via the first interface. The second electronic device is located in a facility remote to the residential gateway. The processor is further configured to receive media content sent from the second electronic device responsive to the second request.

  • Publication number: 20190244250
Abstract: A method includes making a determination at a user device to transition the user device to a standby mode. The method includes sending a message from the user device to a server of a service provider in response to the determination, where the service provider provides a service to the user device. The method includes receiving, in response to the message, a content stream at the user device. The method includes sending video content generated from the content stream to a display device while the user device is in the standby mode. The method also includes, in response to a time in the standby mode exceeding a threshold, transmitting a second message to the server from the user device. In response to the second message, receipt of the content stream ceases.

  • Patent number: 10289775
Abstract: Various embodiments described herein assign, within a circuit design, a clock tap to a clock device (e.g., flip-flop) to improve timing of a path between the clock tap and the clock device. In particular, some embodiments identify which clock devices should be assigned to a clock tap so as to improve final timing as seen under an on-chip variation timing analysis, such an AOCV/CPPR (advanced on-chip variation/common clock path pessimism removal) timing analysis. Some such embodiments may achieve this by identifying, after post-route-optimization, critical clock-tap-to-clock-device assignments based on timing analysis results (e.g., from AOCV/CPPR timing analysis) and feeding back those critical clock-tap-to-clock-device assignments to a process performing new clock tap assignments.

  • Patent number: 10278156
Abstract: Devices, computer-readable media, and methods for allocating a source specific multicast internet protocol address to a streaming media content are disclosed. For example, a processor of a device may receive a streaming media content, allocate a source specific multicast internet protocol address to the streaming media content for a base station of a cellular network, allocate a first broadcast channel of the base station to the streaming media content, and associate the first broadcast channel with the source specific multicast internet protocol address. The processor may further generate a manifest file, the manifest file including an identification of the streaming media content and the source specific multicast internet protocol address, transmit the manifest file via a second broadcast channel of the base station, and transmit the streaming media content via the first broadcast channel of the base station.

  • Patent number: 10216880
Abstract: Methods and systems of optimization of and Integrated Circuit (IC) design disclosed herein result in a power efficient clustering of circuit devices. The methods may depart from the conventional geometric clustering using a nearest neighbor approach when wiring flops to local clock buffers. To reduce the number of clock-gaters, the methods in one embodiment use a grouping of flops wired to a common clock-gater to form nodes, which are then wired to the local clock buffers based on a load-balancing process. In another embodiment, the methods use a local cleanup process to rewire the nodes between neighboring clock buffers to further reduce the amount of clock-gaters.

  • Publication number: 20190047328
Abstract: A method of forming a non-pneumatic tire is provided that includes the steps of providing an outer shear band ring (56) and an intermediate section (14) that has a supporting structure (16). The intermediate section (14) is collapsed from an uncollapsed state to a collapsed state. The intermediate section in the collapsed state is inserted inside of the outer shear band ring such that the outer shear band ring is located outward from the intermediate section in a radial direction of the tire. Compression of the intermediate section (14) is released when the intermediate section (14) is inside of the outer shear band ring (56) so that the intermediate section returns to the uncollapsed state from the collapsed state. In one embodiment, the compressing step of the intermediate section (14) is performed by a compression device (68) that has a plurality of gripping members.

  • Patent number: 10206006
Abstract: Techniques for rules-based content management are provided. Video on demand content is collected from a variety of sources. Business rules embedded within metadata can be retrieved where the business rules control processing and delivery of the video on demand content. The video on demand content may be selectively packaged in response to the business rules and the metadata to generate packaged video on demand content. A server can distribute the packaged video on demand content to devices. A priority for processing the packaged video on demand content can be based on a quality of service parameter and based on the metadata, the business rules, and a license embedded within the metadata where the license describes the priority. Other embodiments are disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20190016076
Abstract: A method of forming a non-pneumatic tire is provided that includes the steps of providing an outer shear band ring (12) that has an inner diameter. An intermediate section (14) is provided that has a supporting structure. An outer diameter (102) of the intermediate section (14) in the uncompressed state is greater than the inner diameter (70) of the outer shear band ring (12). The intermediate section is compressed from the uncompressed state to a compressed state, and is inserted inside of the outer shear band ring (12). Compression of the intermediate section is released when the intermediate section is inside of the outer shear band ring, and the intermediate section (14) moves from the compressed state to a state of interference fit with the outer shear band ring (12).
