  • Publication number: 20260130509
Abstract: A chair is equipped with a dual-mode tilt and collapsing mechanism, and/or a release mechanism for use when reconfiguring the chair between a ready-to-use configuration and a collapsible configuration, and/or a leg extension and retraction mechanism that is operable to extend and retract legs of the chair in response to moving a chair seat into and out of a collapsed position. Optionally the chair may be equipped with all three mechanisms, which provides for simplified conversion or reconfiguring of the chair between the ready-to-use configuration and the collapsed configuration that occupies substantially less floor space and less vertical space. Seating comfort of the chair is enhanced by the dual-mode tilt and collapsing mechanism in the ready-to-use configuration, which permits limited rearward tilting of the seat and seatback as a user shifts their weight on the seat.

  • Publication number: 20250031857
Abstract: A furniture system includes an office productivity structure (OPS). The furniture system also includes a sensor coupled to the OPS, the sensor operable to detect occupancy of the OPS and generate an output signal indicative of the occupancy; and a processor coupled to the sensor. The processor is operable to receive the output signal generated by the sensor, determine, based on the output signal, that the OPS is occupied, and, in response to determining that the OPS is occupied, generate a command to initiate at least one action associated with the OPS or an operator of the OPS.

  • Publication number: 20240251951
Abstract: A collapsible office chair and reconfigurable work desk can assume compact stowage configurations to minimize floor space occupied during periods of non-use. The chair includes a seat and leg assembly both coupled to a seat post. The seat is pivotable from a use configuration to a tilted or stowed configuration that occupies less floor space. The leg assembly includes a plurality of legs coupled to a lower portion of the seat post, with one or more of the legs typically being movable from a use configuration that provides a suitably wide base for the seat in its use configuration, to a compact stowed configuration that occupies less floor space but can still support the chair in a freestanding manner. Optionally, a seat back is attached to the seat and is also repositionable between use and stowed configurations, the latter occupying less floor space and less vertical height.

  • Patent number: 11372699
Abstract: Methods, systems, apparatus, and non-transitory computer readable media are described for detecting system outages using application event logs. Various aspects may include obtaining several prior application event logs where the status of the system is known at the time the application event logs were recorded. Additionally, various aspects may include determining characteristics of prior application event logs which were recorded during a system outage, and/or determining characteristics of prior application event logs which were recorded while the system was available. When current application event logs are obtained where the status of the system is unknown at the time the current application event logs are recorded, various aspects include comparing the current application event logs to the prior application event logs to determine that a system outage has occurred based upon the comparison.
