  • Publication number: 20230177786
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure involve a system comprising a computer-readable storage medium storing at least one program, method, and user interface to facilitate context based augmented reality communication between multiple users over a network. Virtual content item configuration data indicative of a selection by a first user of virtual content item to apply to a real-world environment that is visible to a second user via a second device is received from a first device. The virtual content item configuration data also includes one or more criteria to trigger application of the virtual content item to the real-world environment. A triggering event is detected based on satisfaction of the one or more criteria determined from context data generated at the second device. The second device presents the virtual content item overlaid on the real-world environment that is visible to the second user based on the triggering event.

  • Patent number: 11646337
Abstract: An image sensor with uniform, well-controlled air gaps is provided. A structure that is at least partially filled with organic material may be formed on the image sensor. A hybrid organic/inorganic film layer may be formed over the organic material. The image sensor may then be exposed to energy, which causes the organic material to sublimate through the hybrid film layer, which itself may become a gas permeable layer when exposed to energy. After sublimation, the regions where the organic material was previously filled become air gaps with a low index of refraction. Air gaps formed in this way can be configured over photodiodes as light guides or focusing structures, as concave/convex microlenses, in between photodiodes as isolation structures, in between color filter elements to reduce crosstalk, and/or over microlenses to enhancing focusing power.

  • Publication number: 20230137950
Abstract: A client device processing received emoji messages using emoji-first messaging. Text messaging is automatically converted to emojis by an emoji-first application so that only emojis are communicated from one client device to another client device. Each client device has a library of emojis that are mapped to words, which libraries are customizable and unique to the users of the client devices, such that the users can communicate secretly in code. Upon receipt of a string of emojis, a user can select the emoji string to convert to text if desired, for a predetermined period of time.

  • Patent number: 11606491
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure involve a system comprising a computer-readable storage medium storing at least one program, method, and user interface to facilitate a camera sharing session between two or more users. A camera sharing session is initiated based on session configuration information comprising a user identifier of a user permitted to control image capturing at a camera communicatively coupled to a first device. A trigger request is received from the second device and in response, an image capture, which results in at least one image, is triggered at the camera and the image is transmitted to the second device.

  • Publication number: 20230075922
Abstract: Provided are a computer program product for managing tracks in a storage in a cache. An active track data structure indicates tracks in the cache that have an active status. An active bit in a cache control block for a track is set to indicate active for the track indicated as active in the active track data structure. In response to processing the cache control block, a determination is made, from the cache control block for the track, whether the track is active or inactive to determine processing for the cache control block.

  • Publication number: 20230068730
Abstract: Systems and methods are described for providing social connection between users of first and second electronic eyewear devices. A first object in an environment of the first user is paired with a second object in a remote environment of the second user to create a communication connection between the first object and the second object. When the first object is within a field of view of the first electronic eyewear device, a communication is sent that invokes a preselected augmented reality (AR) object for display to the second user adjacent the second object when the second object is in the field of view of the second user. When the first object is within the field of view of the first electronic eyewear device for a predetermined duration, a communication may be sent that invokes a snapshot of an object or a user-selected AR object for display to the second user.

  • Publication number: 20230069328
Abstract: Systems and methods are described for sending a snapshot message using an electronic eyewear device by a first user capturing an image, identifying a physical marker in the captured image, and determining that the physical marker in the captured image has been within a field of view of the electronic eyewear device for a predetermined amount of time. A 3D snapshot including an object is captured and, each time the identified object appears in a field of view of the electronic eyewear device, a representation of the object is sent for display to a second user as if the real object was sent. The representation of the object may include the snapshot image, the object extracted from the snapshot image, a stored representation of the object, augmented reality content representing the object, etc.

The methods include scanning a scene using the electronic eyewear device to capture at least one image in an environment of a first user and identifying at least one physical marker in the scanned scene. Upon identification of the at least one physical marker in the scanned scene, a message (e.g., preselected AR content) is passively sent to at least one of directly to a second user or to at least one physical marker at a remote location for presentation to the second user. The message may be sent without use of the first user's hands to make a selection. The physical markers may be associated with a fixed object, a human face, a pet, a vehicle, a person, a logo, and the like.

  • Publication number: 20230035961
Abstract: A system and method for recommending emojis to send by a messaging application includes receiving user biosignals from at least one sensor, receiving context information from at least one context source, and selecting, using a rule-based heuristic state selector, a list of plausible user states from possible heuristic states in a heuristic state table based on the received user biosignals and received context information. A state predictor determines, from at least the list of plausible user states and a user model of emojis previously sent in different user states, a list of user states and probabilities that the user will send an emoji for each user state given the context information. The recommended emojis are displayed for selection for sending by the messaging application in order from the highest to the lowest probabilities that the user will send the recommended emojis based on a selected plausible user state.
