  • Publication number: 20160180368
Abstract: An automated method adapted to associate a consumer with a rewards program is described. The method includes: providing a bill to the consumer using a processing device; receiving payment information regarding the consumer; receiving biographical information regarding the consumer; and updating information regarding a user account associated with the rewards program. A software application adapted to process a payment and update rewards program information includes sets of instructions for: generating a bill for a set of goods or services provided to a consumer; receiving a method of payment from the consumer; determining an account associated with the method of payment; and updating the rewards program information associated with the account. An automated method of facilitating a redemption associated with a rewards program includes: receiving a bill associated with a consumer purchase; receiving payment information from the consumer; and applying at least a portion of a redemption balance to the bill.

  • Publication number: 20150377402
Abstract: A coupling including female and male couplers configured to be connected together. The female coupler includes a valve body and a detent carrier surrounding the valve body and having a plurality of circumferentially spaced openings extending through a wall of the detent carrier for receiving detents to connect the female coupler to the male coupler. When the female and male couplers are connected together, the detent carrier is axially movable relative to the valve body by externally applied loads acting on the male and female couplers to cause the male and female couplers to separate. A pressure-balancing chamber is provided to prevent premature separation of the couplers. Once separated, the detent carrier axially moves back and the female and male couplers may be reconnected.

  • Publication number: 20150039179
Abstract: Provided is agricultural equipment for delivering fluid to a field. The agricultural equipment includes a system having a plurality of flow indicator sensors for providing an output indicative of whether or not fluid is flowing through the sensors above or below a prescribed rate and an indicator panel for providing at least one of a visual or an audio indication to an operator indicative of whether or not fluid is flowing through the flow indicator sensors above or below the prescribed rate. The indicator panel may be provided in a location to allow an operator to determine when an interruption occurs, for example by viewing a visual indication on the indicator panel, without the operator having to look away from a direction of motion. In this way, the operator can safely and efficiently determine if there is an interruption and then take the necessary steps to clear the interruption.

  • Publication number: 20120152866
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention provide a pump and filter system and method. The system includes a housing with a housing cavity and a filter cartridge, and a pump positioned in the housing cavity. The filter cartridge splits the housing cavity into a filtered region and an unfiltered region and the pump is located in the filtered region. The method includes operating the pump to pull fluid through a housing inlet into the unfiltered region, to pull fluid across the filter cartridge into the filtered region via suction pressure of the pump, and to force the fluid through the pump to a housing outlet.

  • Publication number: 20060100587
Abstract: A mixing syringe having a first sealed chamber containing a powder (powder housing) and a second sealed chamber containing a liquid (liquid housing). When the user needs to inject a patient, he or she holds the mixing syringe approximately upright and depresses a plunger. This motion causes a piercer to pierce a foil seal separating the two chambers. The liquid then drops down into the powder housing. The liquid flows through a passage in a piston located in the powder housing, where it then comes in contact with the powder itself. As the user continues pressing the plunger downward, the piercer comes to rest within the piston and seals the passage through the piston, thereby locking the piercer and piston together. The device is then ready for an injection. As the plunger is further depressed the piston expels the powder and liquid mixture through a needle.

  • Patent number: 4557744
Abstract: In the mould arrangement, an electrical temperature sensing device (TC1, TC2, TC3) is mounted on a mould portion (30; 70) and sends signals to control means of the arrangement. The control means is operable to read the signal from the sensing device (TC1, TC2, TC3) at a particular point in the cycle of operation of the machine, selected to occur when the mould portion (30; 70) is stationary, and to control a portion of the operation of the machine, e.g. the operation of the mould cooling means thereof, in accordance with a value of the signal.
