  • Patent number: 10310833
Abstract: A parallel diagnostic/software installation system includes a computing device, a server device storing computing device software, and a software staging device that is coupled to the server device through a first connection that provides a first maximum transmission rate, and that is coupled to the computing device through a second connection that provides a second maximum transmission rate that is faster than the first transmission maximum rate. The software staging device receives a manifest of computing device software for installation on the computing device and then retrieves, from the server device through the first connection, at least a portion of the computing device software while the computing device is performing a diagnostic test on a first hardware configuration of the computing device. The software staging devices determines that the diagnostic test has completed and, in response, provides, to the computing device through the second connection, the computing device software.

  • Patent number: 10234528
Abstract: In a method to correct noise effects in magnetic resonance (MR) images, which is executed in a processor (computer), the processor executes a fitting algorithm in order to calculate initial values for each of selected variables in signal model that models noise effects in a modeled, noise-containing MR image. The processor then iteratively executes the same or a different fitting algorithm, in order to generate final values for each of the selected variables. The processor is provided with an actual, acquired MR image that contains noise, and the processor uses the final values of the selected variables to calculate synthetic signal intensities in the MR image, thereby producing a synthetic MR image with no noise bias effects of errors. This synthetic image is made available in electronic form at an output of the processor, as a data file.

  • Patent number: 10220936
Abstract: A wing pivot apparatus for rotating a wing between a flight orientation and a stowed orientation relative to a fuselage of a tiltrotor aircraft. The apparatus includes a guide ring that is fixably coupled to the fuselage. Forward and aft wing attach assemblies are coupled respectively to forward and aft spars of the wing and are moveably supported by the guide ring. Forward and aft wing support fittings are coupled respectively to the forward and aft spars of the wing and are selectively securable respectively to first and second fore-aft beams of the fuselage. A plurality of lock assemblies selectively secures the wing support fittings to the fore-aft beams of the fuselage when the wing is in the flight orientation. An actuator coupled to the fuselage is operable to reversibly rotate the wing between the flight orientation and the stowed orientation.

  • Publication number: 20190059773
Abstract: A system, method, and apparatus for a visualization system for deep brain stimulation. The visualization system comprises a camera system, a display system, and an information analyzer. The information analyzer is configured to display a group of electrodes for the deep brain stimulation on a head of a patient on the display system such that a visualization of the group of electrodes is displayed overlaid on the head of the patient in real time in a position corresponding to an actual position of the group of electrodes in a brain in the head of the patient. An operation of the group of electrodes sending an electrical signal into the head of the patient is displayed in the visualization, enabling visualizing a physical reaction of the patient to the deep brain stimulation in conjunction with the visualization of the operation of the group of electrodes.

  • Patent number: 10121488
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for optimizing call quality and improving network efficiency by reducing bandwidth requirements at the individual-voice-call level. Embodiments provided herein build vocal fingerprints that correspond to the frequency range of the human voice, as well as the frequency range of the voice of individual users. The vocal fingerprints are used minimize and reduce the transmission of background noise and ambient sound captured using HD voice while retaining the frequency range of a user's voice in HD voice. This filtered HD voice frequency range is then transmitted to recipients over the network. The reduced frequency range lowers bandwidth usage and conserves network resources, all while optimizing the call quality for individual users.

  • Patent number: 10114670
Abstract: An apparatus is provided for implementation of back-end system for providing point-of-use toolkits. The apparatus may receive an assignment of work tasks assigned to a technician for manufacture of a tangible product. In response, the apparatus may compile a point-of-use toolkit including comprehensive information regarding the work tasks, and transmit the point-of-use toolkit to a front-end system associated with the technician. The apparatus may determine an occurrence of a delay associated with the schedule that impacts the assignment of the one or more work tasks, and transmit information associated with the delay to the manufacturing scheduling system. In response to receiving an update to the assignment of the tasks from the manufacturing scheduling system, the apparatus may compile an update of the point-of-use toolkit, and transmit the update of the point-of-use toolkit to the front-end system.

  • Patent number: 10026227
Abstract: The different illustrative embodiments provide a method for augmenting reality that may be applied to repairs performed on a composite structure. An image may be recorded of a first layer of a composite component. The image may relate to a first repair performed at a first time. Physical data may be captured for the composite component from a surface layer of the composite component using a number of portable devices. A multi-dimensional representation of a combined augmented reality of the composite component including a display of various layers of the composite component selected by a user may be generated. A user selection may include a time restriction and a spatial restriction. The number of portable devices may display the multi-dimensional representation comprising physical data for an image of the surface of the composite component and digital data for an overlay of composite layers beyond the surface.

  • Publication number: 20180048544
Abstract: A supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) unit and technique for managing communications over a network of defined capacity. The unit and techniques include safeguarding the network while allowing for operations to proceed at an oilfield. The safeguards allow for multiple additional and different types of equipment to be added to or removed from the network while being managed by a single SCADA unit. This may be achieved through unique filtering protocols which prevent unidentified and/or unconfirmed equipment and devices from being added to the network merely due to be detected at the oilfield.
