  • Publication number: 20200125635
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to systems and methods for providing an interface that displays a prediction of remaining code segments of a code comprised of a sequence of code segments. The remaining code segments may be automatically predicted in response to the interface receiving a user's input of at least a portion of a code segment (or a user input of other data elements that are not code segments). Predicting the remaining code segments may be performed using a trained machine-learning model that can generate output(s) predictive of remaining code segments in response to a user inputting at least one code segment of a code into an input element of the interface.

  • Patent number: 10621231
Abstract: Systems and methods generate a topic index for a conversational event and generate a content item based on the topic index. A processing device extracts a plurality of topics from a first content item corresponding to the conversational event, and generates the topic index for the conversational event. The topic index associates each of the plurality of topics with a content segment from the first content item. The method identifies a subset of one or more topics within the plurality of topics, and generates a second content item including a respective content segment of each of the one or more topics of the subset of one or more topics.

  • Patent number: 10613450
Abstract: The present disclosure relates generally to a method to make a chemically prepared toner that employs a crash cooling process. In particular, the crash cooling process involves the addition of a toner slurry having a temperature between 70° C. and 90° C. to an equivalent amount of cold water having a temperature between 5° C. and 20° C. Polyester and styrene acrylic toners as well as polyester core shell toners having a borax coupling agent between the toner core and toner shell made from this cooling process results in an improvement to the amount of toner waste, thereby achieving a higher toner usage efficiency for an electrophotographic printing system.

  • Patent number: 10603583
Abstract: Techniques for implementation of an entity-component architecture with components having multiple configurations are described herein. In some examples, at least one component within an entity-component architecture of a video game may have multiple different configurations. Each of the multiple configurations may, for example, relate to a different respective deployment context in which the configuration will be deployed. For example, in some cases, the different configurations may be defined for different device types, such as client, server, and others. Additionally, in some cases, the different configurations may be defined for different types of game consoles, and other different software, hardware, and/or contextual attributes. Furthermore, in some cases, configurations may be defined for use during video game development, such as within an editing interface that is used for video game development.

  • Patent number: 10595668
Abstract: An apparatus and method for sharing capsule image data and beverage preparation parameters, from one or more beverage preparation machines with a remote computer system via a network, such as the Internet, is disclosed. The remote computer system may process the capsule image data to determine characteristics of the capsule (e.g., a type of capsule, such as a brand, or beverage ingredients in the capsule), thereby relieving the beverage preparation from having to determine information about the capsule. The remote computer may track a user's consumption of capsules, may compare this value to the user's past capsule purchase history, and may determine if the user's supply of capsules is below a threshold value (e.g., below a week's worth of capsules).

  • Patent number: 10599758
Abstract: A metadata item may be generated that includes metadata content corresponding to a selected portion of digital content stored on a first device, the metadata item may be associated with a first user profile, and the metadata item may be distributed to a second user device storing the digital content such that the metadata item can be accessed via a second user profile and rendered on the second user device in association with the digital content. In this manner, metadata content corresponding to digital content may be shared across user profiles that access the digital content. In addition, a collaborative content item may be generated that includes collaborative content associated with a word or phrase in digital content and that is editable by multiple user profiles.

  • Publication number: 20200088159
Abstract: Hydrokinetic fluid turbines utilize a flowing body of liquid to translate the kinetic energy of the fluid into electric power or other useful energy. The available kinetic energy is proportional to the squared fluid velocity in an open channel with a fixed cross-sectional area. The proposed twin turbine system coupled with a cycloidal magnetic gear exploits the hydrokinetic energy existing in open-channels.

Abstract: A balance piston seal assembly for a balance piston of a compressor is provided. The balance piston seal assembly may include a balance piston seal configured to be disposed about the balance piston such that an inner radial surface of the balance piston seal and an outer radial surface of the balance piston define a radial clearance therebetween. The balance piston seal assembly may also include a plurality of heaters in thermal communication with the balance piston seal and configured to heat and thermally expand the balance piston seal and thereby increase a radial length of the radial clearance.

  • Publication number: 20200069244
Abstract: A sleep assessment device is provided for, including biometric sensors for detecting a heart rate, respiration, or movement of a user. The device detect a user's sleep state by reading signals from the biometric sensor and logs detected information in a sleep record. The device then compares the logged information to a thumbprint of sleep patterns indicative of sleep disorders and outputs an indication of potential sleep disorders based on the comparison.

  • Patent number: 10564954
Abstract: A vehicle includes an onboard controller(s) coupled to a wireless transceiver, which are configured to connect to a remote server, and to respond to a remote software update message for a vehicle from the remote server(s). In response, the controller(s) download a software update to the vehicle from the remote server(s). The controller(s) are further configured to detect a vehicle idle state, to determine whether the vehicle is unattended, such that the software update may proceed. If the idle state is detected, and in response to the remote software update message, the controller(s) configure the vehicle to a program mode, having vehicle conditions that include key on, transmission in park, and engine off. If the program mode configurations are successful, then the controller(s) update and/or flash the downloaded updates to in-vehicle, onboard computer processing systems and controller(s), which may include for example an engine control unit (ECU), among others.
