  • Publication number: 20160175198
Abstract: Methods and devices for exchanging therapeutic agents, such as cells, from one liquid medium to another liquid medium are provided. Aspects of embodiments of the methods include transferring a therapeutic agent from a first medium, such as a freezing, storage or shipping buffer, into a second medium, such as a sterile physiologically compatible buffer. In certain aspects, the transfer of the therapeutic agent from a first medium to a second medium involves the use of acoustic-focusing, or acoustophoresis. Embodiments of the subject methods may facilitate the transfer of a therapeutic agent from a storage medium to an infusion medium, and in certain embodiments include administering the therapeutic agent contained in the infusion medium to the subject. Also provided by the present disclosure are devices for practicing the subject methods.

  • Publication number: 20160180168
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention include systems, methods, and computer-program products for lifting metadata from financial documents to allow for automated exception processing. As such, allowing for automated decisions for exception processing to systematically be resolved base on matches between lifted metadata. The exceptions may include one or more irregularities such as bad micro line reads, outdated check stork, or misrepresentative checks that may result in a failure to match the check to an associated account for processing. As such, once an exception is identified during the processing the metadata lifted from the document with the exception may be utilized to search financial records at the financial institution to attempt to identify the correct version of the document. Subsequently, the system may correct the irregularity systematically and automatically.

  • Publication number: 20160167939
Abstract: Disclosed are dispensing methods and systems for beverages that improve the quality (i.e., maintain desired temperature) of product dispensed by employing periodic recirculation of stagnant product, while reducing energy usage. The methods and systems use a recirculating pump associated with a first device that provides periodic power supply to the recirculation pump. The first device may comprise a device selected from a timer, a relay or a controller. The methods and systems may include a second device in association with the first device, and the second device senses a condition in the system and determines and measures a parameter of the condition. The second device signals the first device to periodically supply power to the recirculation pump based on the determined and measured parameter of the sensed condition. Preferably, the second device senses a parameter of pressure, temperature, electric current and/or voltage and product dispense-patterns.

  • Patent number: 9344675
Abstract: A computer-implemented technique can include receiving a video chat request to initiate a video chat with at least one invitee user. The technique can include for a specific invitee user, determining a degree of notification for a specific video chat invitation for the specific invitee user, the degree of notification comprising a notification medium and a notification level each having a degree of intrusiveness, wherein determining the degree of notification is based on: (a) a number of invitee users specified by the video chat request, and (b) video chat attributes of the specific invitee user. The technique can also include outputting the specific video chat invitation to an invitee computing device associated with the specific invitee user via the determined notification medium, wherein receipt of the specific video chat invitation causes the invitee computing device to notify the specific invitee user according to the determined notification level.

  • Patent number: 9338147
Abstract: Embodiments are directed to sharing secure communication secrets with a network monitoring device (NMD). The NMD may passively monitor network packets communicated between client computers and server computers. If a secure communication session is established between a client computer and a server computer, a key provider may provide the NMD a session key that corresponds to the secure communication session. The NMD may buffer each network packet associated with the secure communication session until the NMD is provided a session key for the secure communication session. The NMD may use the session key to decrypt network packets communicated between the client computer and the server computer. The NMD may then proceed to analyze the secure communication session based on the contents of the decrypted network packets.
