Abstract: A method is provided for producing a soluble coffee extract which, when reconstituted, produces an intensified in-cup brew color without altering the flavor of the cup of coffee. The method includes heating a coffee extract at a temperature and for a time selected to produce an intensified color coffee extract without altering the flavor of the coffee. The intensified color coffee is either immediately dried to form dried intensified color coffee or cooled while in the liquid state. The soluble coffee produced by this method has intensified color while its flavor remains unaltered. As desired, the soluble coffee may be packaged as an instant coffee, combined with traditional soluble coffee, incorporated into a liquid coffee product or combined with sugar, creamer, and flavors to form various soluble coffee products. Alternatively, the coffee exact may be directly incorporated into a ready-to-drink or a concentrated liquid coffee product without undergoing a drying step.

Abstract: An improved hands-free speaker telephone designed to provide high-quality sound in a relatively small instrument, while at the same time avoiding acoustic shock to a user pressing the device too closely to an ear. If a speakerphone is mistaken for an ordinary portable or cellular phone, or simply out of misguided habit, a user may intentionally or inadvertently press the speaker against an ear. This action may subject the ear to an overly-loud audio event if the speaker begins producing sound, as hands-free speakerphone speakers are typically set to a much higher volume than those of ordinary phones. The effect, which is sometimes referred to as ‘acoustic shock’, is worsened significantly where the user actually succeeds in sealing the phone around the ear, as commonly (and harmlessly) occurs with standard (personal) phones. To avoid this undesirable phenomenon, the hands-free speakerphone is provided with a seal-proof speaker configuration.

Abstract: A pressurizer device (1) is provided with a body (6) in the form of a collar and a surrounding radially extending flexible flange (8). A prosthetic component to be disposed in a cemented bone cavity is inserted through the central opening (50) in the body (6). Pressure in the bone cement is maintained during insertion of the prosthetic component by the flange (8) being held down around the prosthetic component during insertion.

Abstract: A handle assembly (1) has a handle body (4), an arm (8) and a trigger mechanism (6). The handle body (4) has a recess (18) for receiving an instrument to be held by the handle assembly (1). The arm (8) pivots in relation to the handle body (4) and the trigger mechanism (6) holds the arm (8) in two positions relative to the handle body (4). A third position enables the arm (8) to be detached from the handle body (4). In the first position, the arm (8) is locked adjacent the handle body (4) such that a projection (30) from the arm (8) engages the recess (18) in which a neck of an instrument being held can be inserted.
