Abstract: A recuperator includes a monolithic heat exchanger core having a first side proximal to a combustor inlet and a turbine outlet, and a second side that includes an exhaust outlet. A compressed air inlet is located on the second side, and a compressed air outlet is located on the first side. The compressed air outlet supplies air to a combustor. A first plurality of passageways connects the compressed air inlet to the compressed air outlet. A turbine exhaust inlet is located on the first side, and a turbine exhaust outlet is located on the second side. A second plurality of passageways connects the turbine exhaust inlet to the turbine exhaust outlet. The first and second plurality of passageways are defined by parting plates that extend radially outward in a spiral pattern that maintains a substantially equal distance between adjacent parting plates.

Abstract: Systems and methods are involved with but are not limited to an apparatus including an electrical power coupler for an electronic tablet computing device, the electronic tablet computing device having an electrical-power-capable receptacle, the electrical power coupler for a tablet case assembly, the tablet case assembly having an electrical-power-coupler docking bay, the electrical power coupler including a coupler plug sized and shaped to removably couple with the electrical-power-capable receptacle of the electronic tablet computing device, the electrical power coupler sized and shaped to removably couple with the electrical-power-coupler docking bay of the tablet case assembly; a first coupler electrode; and a second coupler electrode, the coupler plug being in electrical connection with the first coupler electrode and with the second coupler electrode.

Abstract: An encoding or transcoding system uses hypothetical reference decoder occupancy data to at least calculate parameters for output buffers for data streams. An output thread receives HRD buffer occupancy data and calculates buffer occupancy based on duration, rather than absolute occupancy, and correlates the HRD buffer occupancy data with target durations for buffered packets prior to release from the buffer.

Abstract: A method for creating a secure document, registering the secure document and verifying the authenticity of the secure document includes receiving a print object that has content. A security feature, including an identifier, is created and is associated with the content. The identifier may be a barcode. The barcode may represent a character string. The security feature may include the identifier barcode and a decoy barcode that is not associated with the content. The identifier barcode (or the character string represented by the barcode) and the content are transmitted to a database for storage. Once stored, the identifier and the content are considered to be registered. A print object that includes the security feature and the content is then transmitted to a printer for printing.

Abstract: Methods and systems for providing a third party application with access to files stored on a server are disclosed. A method may include receiving, from a browser at a client device, a request for a file stored on the server, wherein the request is received via a web page provided by the third party application and rendered by the browser, the web page comprising an embedded user interface (UI) component associated with the server to access the file stored on the server, wherein the request includes a document identifier associated with the file, an application identifier of the third-party application, and an origin identifier, wherein the origin identifier is associated with the web page provided by the third party application and rendered by the browser.

Abstract: A toilet paper holster charging station. The toilet paper holster charging station includes a housing having a top portion with opposing arms extending from a bottom thereof. A support shaft spans between the opposing arms and is rotatably attached thereto. The support shaft is removably affixed to the opposing arms and can hold a roll of toilet paper thereon. An electrical outlet is disposed in an arm of the housing and includes standard sockets as well as Universal Serial Bus (USB) outlets for plugging in and charging devices. The electrical outlet is configured to be connected to the electrical grid of a house through wired connection running through the walls. A shelving portion is included on the top surface of the housing to allow a user to rest an electrical device thereon while charging.

Abstract: A video packaging and origination service can include one or more encoder components that receive content for encoding and transmitting to requesting entities. During the operation of the encoder components, individual encoders receive input signals for encoding and determine picture data related to the generation of an encoded segment. The encoder components exchange picture data information and individual encoder components select synchronization information based processing the exchanged picture data information. The exchange of picture data and synchronization can continue throughout the streaming process.

Abstract: A brake system that includes a first brake piston; a second brake piston; a first rotary to linear mechanism disposed inside of the first brake piston; a second rotary to linear mechanism disposed inside of the second brake piston; and a motor. The motor is configured to generate torque and supply the generated torque generally equally to both of the first and the second rotary to linear mechanism during a brake apply. Abstract: A disc brake system that is an opposed piston brake system. The disc brake system includes a brake caliper having an inboard side and an outboard side. The inboard side of the brake caliper is configured to support more brake pistons than the outboard side of the brake caliper.

Abstract: A document collaboration system allows applications to collaborate on a binary data file even if the binary data file is not in a collaborative document format. In response to a request from an application to access a binary data file, the document collaboration system gives the application access to a document model corresponding to the binary data file and the application If the document model does not already exist, it may be created by generating an empty document model, transmitting the binary data file to the application, and allowing the application to fill in the empty document model based on the binary data file. The document model may be provided to and modified by its related application through an application programming interface (API), and changes to the document model may be applied to the binary data file.

Abstract: A method for saving a file stored on a third-party system to a cloud storage system includes receiving, at a cloud storage server of the cloud storage system, a save request from the third party system. The save request is generated in response to a user selecting, via a user interface presented on a client computer, the file from a plurality of files stored on the third-party system, the file to be saved to the cloud storage server. The save request comprises a file identifier of the file and information identifying the user. The information identifying the user allows access to a user account of the user on the cloud storage system without use of the client computer as intermediary service, and the third-party system stores the file associated with the file identifier. The method further includes authenticating the save request, based at least in part on the information identifying the user, creating a copy of the file at the cloud storage server, and associating the copy of the file with the user.
