  • Publication number: 20120115237
Abstract: Provided herein is a method of sample analysis. In certain embodiments, the method comprises: a) cross-linking protein of a cell using a first compound to produce a first cross-linked product comprising cross-linked protein, and RNA; b) contacting the first cross-linked product and a second compound under conditions by which an oligonucleotide portion of the second compound hybridizes to the RNA; c) activating a reaction the first and second compound, thereby covalently crosslinking the oligonucleotide to the cross-linked protein to produce a second cross-linked product; d) isolating the second cross-linked product using an affinity tag; and e) analyzing the isolated second cross-linked product. Compounds for performing the method are also provided.

  • Publication number: 20120107855
Abstract: Crosslinking reagents and methods for using the same for analysis of protein-protein interactions, are provided. The crosslinking reagents include a trifunctional scaffold that links two protein linking groups to each other and branches to link an affinity tag, where the protein linking groups can be fragmented from the scaffold. The distance between the two protein linking groups can be selected to crosslink two proteins of a protein complex via accessible amino acid residues. Also provided are crosslinked polypeptide compounds and kits that include crosslinking reagents. These reagents and methods find use in a variety of applications in which crosslinking of proteins in desired.

  • Patent number: 7999710
Abstract: A relatively low frequency chopping operation is applied to a delta-sigma ADC to reduce DC offsets resulting from non-ideal component operation. Sequential chopping takes place outside a closed loop and may include an inverted polarity feedback for a part of the chopping period. Nested chopping involves chopping within the closed loop, and may include an inverted polarity feedback and a time shift. The feedback compensation for sequential and nested chopping permits the correct polarity feedback to be provided at the desired time in conjunction with sampling and quantization events. Integrating capacitor(s) may be swapped in relative polarity during nested chopping to preserve residual conversion information for the desired polarity. The ADC operation is non-temperature dependent and avoids modification to the useful signal, resulting in higher accuracy.

  • Patent number: 7895129
Abstract: An integrated shipping scheme enables seller users of a third-party payment service to facilitate shipping transactions in connection with payment transactions for items sold by the sellers. Shipping information is automatically gathered and/or entered by the seller via a computer interface hosted by the third-party payment service and sent “behind the scenes” to a selected shipping vendor. The shipping vendor processes the shipping information, and returns shipment data, including data to generate a shipping label. A web page containing the shipping label is then generated and served to a client operated by the seller and displayed on a browser screen, enabling the shipping label to be printed out by the seller. At the same time, electronic payment transfer operations are performed to effectively transfer payment from the seller directly to the shipping vendor via the third-party payment service in a manner that is transparent to both the seller and the shipping vendor.

  • Publication number: 20090171900
Abstract: A printer driver may be used to pass transaction information to a remote location for storage. Such transaction information may pertain, for example, to online transactions performed by a user in relation to various online merchants. Such transactions, for example, may also be facilitated by a payment service provider. In one example, a method of processing transaction information includes receiving transaction information at a client device. The transaction information is associated with a user-merchant transaction. The method also includes receiving a user-initiated selection of a printer driver. The method further includes, in response to the selection, passing the transaction information to a remote location to store the transaction information in a transaction record maintained at the remote location. The passing is performed by software implemented in the printer driver. Related methods, devices, and systems are also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20080158678
Abstract: The invention provides, in some aspects, devices for image acquisition that use seals (e.g., O-rings) between concentrically disposed portions of an enclosure and an optics assembly (or sub-assemblies thereof) in order to protect image acquisition components from the surrounding environment (and vice versa) while, at the same time, providing adequate friction for both adjusting and locking focus. Such devices include, in one aspect of the invention, an image capture medium (e.g., a CMOS sensor, CCD array, etc.) that is disposed within an enclosure and an optics assembly that is also disposed within that enclosure, rotatably. The optics assembly, which includes at least a lens, can have a cylindrical outer diameter along at least a portion of its length that is received within the enclosure along a length that has a corresponding cylindrical inner diameter. A first seal (e.g., an “O-ring”) is disposed between, and in contact with, the optics assembly and the enclosure, e.g., along these corresponding lengths.
