  • Patent number: 10990405
Abstract: A computer system includes a branch detection module and a branch predictor module. The branch detection module determines that a first program branch is a possible call branch having a next sequential instruction address (NSIA), and determines that a first routine branch is a possible return capable branch having the first routine instruction address that is a detected as being offset. The branch predictor module determines that a second program branch is a possible call branch having a next sequential instruction address (NSIA), and determines that a second routine branch is a predicted return branch having a predicted target instruction address based on the NSIA of the second program branch and the predicted offset.

  • Publication number: 20210112113
Abstract: Computing and communication systems and methods include one or more servers communicatively coupled with a computing device through a telecommunications network. In implementations one or more data stores are communicatively coupled with the server(s). One or more user interfaces displayed on the computing device display a website provided by the server(s) and accessed using a browser. A file selector is displayed on the website. The file selector corresponds with a file that may already reside on the computing device and/or on a file share accessible by the computing device. The file selector is configured to initiate opening of the file locally on the computing device without necessarily downloading a copy of the file through the browser. The systems and methods may automatically initiate calls and/or texts on non-cell phones (e.g., desk phones, turret type phones and/or VOIP phones) in response to selection of a phone number displayed on a website.

  • Patent number: 10977040
Abstract: Methods, systems and computer program products for heuristically invalidating non-useful entries in an array are provided. Aspects include receiving an instruction that is associated with an operand store compare (OSC) prediction for at least one of a store function and a load function. The OSC prediction is stored in an entry of an OSC history table (OHT). Aspects also include executing the instruction. Responsive to determining, based on the execution of the instruction, that data forwarding did not occur, aspects include incrementing a useless OSC prediction counter. Responsive to determining that the useless OSC prediction counter is equal to a predetermined value, aspects also include invalidating the entry of the OHT associated with the instruction.

  • Patent number: 10970155
Abstract: System and method for performing a read transaction between a requester device, such as a host processor, and a completer device, such as a peripheral device. A device driver operating on the requester device receives a read request including a target address at which target data is to be read on the completer device. The length of the read request is increased from an initial length by an additional length for exchanging information with the completer device. The completer device generates and sends a read response comprising the target data and information about the target data. The length of the target data is equal to the initial length and the length of the information about the target data is less than or equal to the additional length. The device driver receives the read response and performs a resolution operation.

  • Patent number: 10944759
Abstract: An identity management system is augmented to provide for automated suspension of all dormant accounts before launching a re-certification campaign (pass). In one implementation, prior to receiving a recertification notice from the system, the affected user's account is already suspended and thus cannot be accessed. Once the recertification succeeds, however, the account is restored. Preferably, the technique is exposed to an IAM system administrator through a simple interface, e.g., a one-click “suspend and re-certify” button in an administrative menu. When the administrator initiates the re-certification process, he or she may select the button for a particular account or user.

  • Patent number: 10936488
Abstract: Described herein are systems, methods, and software to improve incident response in an information technology (IT) environment. In one example, an incident service executes a course of action with one or more actions to respond to an incident in the IT environment. During execution, the incident service identifies a request to obtain data from an external service outside of the IT environment and determines whether the data is cached in a data store for the IT environment. If cached, the incident service obtains the data for the action from the data store. In contrast, if the data is not cached, the incident service obtains the data for the action from the external service.

  • Patent number: 10938149
Abstract: A convertible force latching system includes two complementary connector bodies. Each connector body has a first mating face under which two series of magnets oriented alternating directions. A moving portion of the latching system allows the connector bodies and the magnets within to alter their alignment by the interaction of a user along a predetermined motion path. In a first arrangement, the series of magnets are aligned with such that the magnets of one connector body are attracted to the magnets of the other connector body. When the user actuation shifts the moving portion, the second arrangement positions the series of magnets such that they are aligned such that the magnets of one connector body are repelled to the magnets of the other connector body.
