  • Publication number: 20200008085
Abstract: A method is provided for performing over-the-air (OTA) testing of a device under test (DUT). The method includes establishing an OTA connection with the DUT, while the DUT is in signaling mode, the OTA connection including advertising channels and data channels; sending universally unique identifier (UUID) requests at different transmit powers to the DUT over the data channels of the OTA connection; receiving UUID responses from the DUT over the data channels of the OTA connection in response to at least some of the UIDD requests; and determining a packet error rate (PER) for the received UUID responses from the DUT based on a ratio of a number of received responses and a number of sent connect requests. The determined PER indicates sensitivity of a receiver in the DUT.

  • Patent number: 10487578
Abstract: Ladders and ladder components are provided including a rung assembly that provides an alert to a user of the ladder that they are standing on a particular rung or step. In one example, the lower most rung or step of a ladder includes a rung assembly having an alert mechanism. The alert mechanism may provide an audible and/or other sensory alert to a user when they step on the rung assembly so that the user recognizes their position relative to the ground or supporting surface. In one embodiment, the rung assembly is configured such that a front edge remains in a constant or fixed position relative to the rails to which it is coupled so that a user can rely on a fixed or constant position of the front edge of the assembly when climbing or descending the ladder.

  • Patent number: 10290112
Abstract: Techniques for planar region-guided estimates of 3D geometry of objects depicted in a single 2D image. The techniques estimate regions of an image that are part of planar regions (i.e., flat surfaces) and use those planar region estimates to estimate the 3D geometry of the objects in the image. The planar regions and resulting 3D geometry are estimated using only a single 2D image of the objects. Training data from images of other objects is used to train a CNN with a model that is then used to make planar region estimates using a single 2D image. The planar region estimates, in one example, are based on estimates of planarity (surface plane information) and estimates of edges (depth discontinuities and edges between surface planes) that are estimated using models trained using images of other scenes.
