  • Patent number: 9372056
Abstract: Improvements in a broadhead arrow is disclosed where the arrowhead opens in two stages. This provides a broadhead arrow that can be launched with a traditional or compound bow to allow a hunter to bring down large game in an efficient manner. When an arrow is launched the arrow receives a thrust of energy from the string that launches the arrow. The initial thrust partially opens the arrowhead in a first stage of opening to provide a low fight profile that reduces flight air resistance. Regardless of how hard the initial thrust imparted onto the back of the arrow the blades will not open. Because the initial forward launch has no effect on the final opening of the arrow, only minimal impact forces are needed to completely open the broadhead arrow. The broadhead arrow optionally includes at least one side blade that operate with the main blade.

  • Publication number: 20160047621
Abstract: Improvements in an airsoft kit to convert an airsoft gun to fire paintballs is disclosed. The airsoft kit to convert an airsoft gun to fire paintballs to fire paintballs. The firing of paintballs can be with firing individual paintballs, a burst of about three paintballs successive paintballs rapid fire as paintballs are sprayed in a general area of an opponent. The kit converts an airsoft gun to fire paintballs to handle feeding either airsoft projectiles or paintball projectiles depending upon the installed kit. The kit allows for a user to purchase a single reliable gun that can be used for either activity and then install or remove a fit that allows the gun to be used in either of the two activities. The conversion requires little or no tools and can be performed in the field as the user prepares for their next combat.

  • Publication number: 20150217188
Abstract: The present disclosure describes, among other things, a method that may include receiving, at one or more sensors in communication with a mobile computing device positioned within a device receptacle portion of a device, the device receptacle portion being configured to substantially enclose and protect the mobile computing device during physical activity, sensor data. The method may include determining, by a processor of the mobile computing device, motion data regarding a movement of the protective device. The method may include estimating a behavior of a user based in part upon the motion data. The method may include generating a response to the behavior including at least one of graphic, audio, tactile, or video output. The method may include providing, through a wireless communications path, the response to a second device in wireless communication with the mobile computing device.

  • Publication number: 20150220917
Abstract: Methods, devices, and systems are provided for verifying tokens using limited-use certificates. For example, a user device can send a token request to a token provider computer, and receive in response a token and a token certificate associated with the token. The token certificate may include, for example, a hash of the token and a digital signature by the token provider computer or another trusted entity. The user device can provide the token and the token certificate to an access device. The access device can verify the token using the token certificate, and verify the token certificate using a digital signature. In some cases, the token and token certificate may be verified offline. The access device can then conduct a transaction using the token.

  • Publication number: 20150207756
Abstract: Electronic information is made more readily available to one or more access requestors based on an anticipated demand for the electronic information using a process, system or computer software. For instance, electronic information stored on a first storage medium is identified for transport (e.g., in response to a request of at least one of the access requestors), and the electronic information is transported accordingly. Afterwards, a determination is made to store the electronic information on a second storage medium that is more accessible to the access requestors than the first storage medium. The determination is based on an anticipated demand of the access requestors for the electronic information. The anticipated demand is determined based at least on information that is not particular to any single access requestor. The electronic information then is stored on the second storage medium and the access requestors are provided access to the electronic information from the second storage medium.

  • Publication number: 20150154614
Abstract: Systems, methods, computer storage media, and user interfaces are provided for vacation tracking and providing marketing analytics. Check-in information for a group of people is received. A tracking device is associated with each of one or more persons associated with the group of people. Each tracking device associated with the one or more persons is activated. One or more boundaries are received from the user or location. The one or more boundaries may define safe areas associated with the location. Tracking information associated with locations of each of the one or more persons is provided. Alerts initiated by the tracking device may be provided to the user. Incentives are provided to the user and may be based on tracking information received by the location to encourage the user or the one or more persons to move to another area within the location.

  • Patent number: 8874743
Abstract: Dynamic subscriber interfaces in a network device are provided. An input port receives data units from multiple subscribers. A primary interface extracts source identifiers from headers associated with the received data units and creates dynamic subscriber interfaces to allocate network device resources to each of the multiple subscribers based on the extracted source identifiers.

  • Publication number: 20140262499
Abstract: In some embodiments, a system includes a first portion, a second portion, and a third portion of an electrical conductor. Each portion is electrically coupled to the other two portions. The first, second, and third portions are configured such that substantially no current induced in and/or supplied to the first portion is conducted to the third portion of the electrical conductor. The third portion of the electrical conductor is also thermally coupled to the first and second portions of the electrical conductor. The third portion of the electrical conductor is configured to transfer thermal energy from the first portion of the electrical conductor to an edge portion of the laminated composite assembly.

  • Publication number: 20140276560
Abstract: An infusion management platform specifies, for each of a plurality of containers, an identification for one of a plurality of patients, an identification for an infusion module, and attributes characterizing fluid within the container for infusion into the corresponding patient. Thereafter, the infusion management platform receives data from a plurality of infusion modules characterizing administration of fluid to each of a plurality of patients. It can then be determined by the infusion management platform for each container using a rule set, an amount of the fluid infused to the corresponding patient and an amount of fluid remaining in the container. Data can then be provided that characterizes the determined amount of infused fluid and the determined amount of remaining fluid for each container. Related apparatus, systems, techniques and articles are also described.

  • Publication number: 20140266713
Abstract: The subject matter disclosed herein provides methods for generating an alert to perform maintenance on a medical device based on actual usage of the medical device. In one aspect, the method can include measuring a parameter value for a parameter type. The parameter type can be associated with a component in a medical device connected to a network and related to a function performed by the component. The method can further include locally storing at the medical device the measured parameter value, the parameter type, and a first value that indicates when the measured parameter value was measured; accessing a maintenance threshold value that specifies a performance limit for the parameter type; comparing the maintenance threshold value with the measured parameter value; and generating an alert based on the comparing to indicate that maintenance is needed for the component. Related apparatus, systems, techniques, and articles are also described.

  • Patent number: 8723052
Abstract: In some embodiments, a system includes a conductor on a first layer of a laminated composite assembly. The laminated composite assembly has an input, an output, a first electrical interconnect which couples the conductor on the first layer of the laminated composite assembly with a second conductor on a second layer of the laminated composite assembly, and a second electrical interconnect which electrically couples the first conductor with the second conductor. A width of the second electrical interconnect is greater than a width of the first electrical interconnect. A resistance of the laminated composite assembly as measured between the electrical input and the electrical output is less than the resistance of the laminated composite assembly as measured between the electrical input and the electrical output if the width of the first electrical interconnect were substantially equal to the width of the second electrical interconnect.

  • Publication number: 20130310969
Abstract: A system for dispensing product-filled containers in which the containers are filled prior to labeling, so that any container may filled at any dispensing station. The system includes multiple dispensing stations, both manual and automated, disposed adjacent a conveyor. Automated dispensing stations include quantities of products, fillable product containers, and a labeling assembly. Each dispensing station dispenses a predetermined quantity of products into a container and labels the container for transport via an exit conveyor to the main conveyor. Carriers are delivered via the main conveyor into a container carrier queue lane, where a sensor reads the RFID before a filled, labeled container is deposited into the carrier. A sensor reads the label bar code and transmits the bar code and RFID information to the computer database, mating the carrier with the filled container. System software load balances the components of an order by routing them to different dispensing stations.
