  • Patent number: 11941533
Abstract: Some embodiments provide a compiler for optimizing the implementation of a machine-trained network (e.g., a neural network) on an integrated circuit (IC). The compiler of some embodiments receives a specification of a machine-trained network including multiple layers of computation nodes and generates a graph representing options for implementing the machine-trained network in the IC. The compiler, as part of generating the graph, in some embodiments, determines whether any set of channels contains no non-zero values (i.e., contains only zero values). For sets of channels that include no non-zero values, some embodiments perform a zero channel removal operation to remove all-zero channels wherever possible. In some embodiments, zero channel removal operations include removing input channels, removing output channels, forward propagation, and backward propagation of channels and constants.

  • Patent number: 11868239
Abstract: Embodiments presented herein provide techniques for evaluating an asynchronous application using a test framework. The test framework may perform a load test of an asynchronous application or service composed from a collection of applications or services. To do so, the test framework may submit transactions to a distributed application at a specified transaction rate and monitor how the distributed application operates at that transaction rate. An aggregate load test component may evaluate the remaining work pending at work accumulation points of the distributed application to determine whether the distributed application can sustain the specified transaction rate. A transaction tracking component may initiate transactions to generate load at the specified transaction rate without blocking while the transactions are processed by the distributed application.

  • Publication number: 20240004577
Abstract: Apparatus and methods for extending functionality of memory controllers in a processor-based device are disclosed herein. In one aspect, a processor-based device provides a memory access intercept circuit that is communicatively coupled to a memory controller and a memory device. The memory access intercept circuit is configured to receive a memory write request that is directed to and received by the memory controller, and generates a write transaction identifier (ID) for the memory write request. The memory access intercept circuit then generates proxy write data containing the write transaction ID, and sends the proxy write data to the memory controller. The memory access intercept circuit subsequently intercepts the actual write data directed to the memory controller, and stores the write data in a write data buffer in association with the write transaction ID.
