  • Patent number: 12670674
Abstract: The systems and methods display, by at least one processor on a first portion of a real-world environment visible on a display of a user device, one or more virtual objects at a first virtual coordinate in three-dimensional (3D) space. The systems and methods receive a request to move the one or more virtual objects to a second virtual coordinate in 3D space. The systems and methods in response to receiving the request, maintain display of the one or more virtual objects at the second virtual coordinate as a second portion of the real-world environment is visible on the display of the user device.

  • Publication number: 20260079582
Abstract: An XR system using interactive virtual objects having gelatinous attributes is provided. The XR system captures tracking data of a first hand and a second hand of a user. The XR system generates an interactive XR user interface with an interactive virtual object associated with a location on the first hand. The system renders the interactive virtual object using specific attributes and displays it as a component of the interactive XR user interface. The XR system detects a hover event of the user holding a digit of the second hand in proximity to the location on the first hand without touching the location, and in response, renders the interactive virtual object using a second set of attributes and re-displays the interactive virtual object. The XR system applies gelatinous attributes to the interactive virtual object to convey a state of an interactive XR user interface.

  • Publication number: 20260072516
Abstract: A head-wearable device may provide an eXtended Reality (XR) experience that allows the user to control certain aspects of the experience with their hands. Specifically, one of the user's hands will be delineated as the dominant hand, while the other hand will be delineated as the non-dominant hand. Gestures made with the dominant hand will be used to interact with the head-wearable device to perform “primary” actions within the XR experience. These primary actions may vary from experience to experience but generally will involve actions taken to link the real-world environment to the head-wearable device, such as touching or gesturing towards real-world objects, and to perform main actions within a user interface displayed by the head-wearable device, such as selecting on search results, moving search results, etc. Enabling or disabling a microphone will be performed using the non-dominant hand, freeing up the dominant hand to perform the primary actions.

  • Publication number: 20260064189
Abstract: An extended Reality (XR) system is provided that generates a dynamic XR user interface having a variety of user input modalities and types of XR user interfaces. The XR system provides a body-centric XR user interface on a hand of the user including a first interactive virtual object located on the hand. The XR system detects a first selection of the first interactive virtual object and provides a near-field XR user interface including a second interactive virtual object. The XR system detects a second selection of the second interactive virtual object and configures the near-field XR user interface to capture a user input. The XR user interface, captures the user input using the near-field XR user interface, generates content for a far-field XR user interface, provides the far-field XR user interface to the user, and displays the content to the user using the far-field XR user interface.

  • Publication number: 20260031894
Abstract: A method for providing data connectivity for passengers in a commercial passenger vehicle, includes determining, by a computing platform, an occurrence of a condition that triggers a reselection of a satellite beam used for providing communication connectivity to passengers in the commercial passenger vehicle; obtaining, the computing platform, one or more alternate beam candidates for the reselection; selecting, according to a rule, a next satellite beam for providing the communication connectivity; and switching, upon selecting the next satellite beam, to the next satellite beam at a switching time.

  • Patent number: 12187162
Abstract: Methods and systems for an electric vehicle (EV) propulsion are provided. A method for operating an EV propulsion system is provided, in one example, that includes, while a traction battery assembly generates electric power, initiating start-up of a hydrogen fuel cell assembly based on a first battery state of charge (SOC) threshold and a first hydrogen fuel storage threshold to transition into a hybrid mode of operation. In the propulsion system, the traction battery assembly includes one or more traction batteries that are electrically coupled to one or more hydrogen fuel cells in the hydrogen fuel cell assembly via a distribution assembly, where the distribution assembly is electrically coupled to a traction motor.

  • Publication number: 20240326848
Abstract: AVs can communicate with humans for undesirable human behaviors that can cause negative impacts on AV operations, e.g., negative impacts on operational safety or passenger comfort. A behavior of a person may be detected and classified by an AV as an undesirable behavior The person may be a passenger of the AV or outside the AV. The AV may generate a communication signal based on the undesirable behavior and communicate with the person using the communication signal to address the undesirable behavior. The communication signal may include a request for stopping the undesirable behavior. The communication signal may also include an option for the person, who is a passenger of the AV, to modify the ride. The AV may modify a predetermined motion plan based on the undesirable behavior. The AV may modify a setting of a part of the AV to alert the person of the communication signal.

  • Publication number: 20240317259
Abstract: AVs can communicate with humans for operational behaviors of the AVs. An AV behavior may be detected and classified as an undesirable AV behavior that would cause a negative sentiment of a person based on information of the AV behavior, information of the person, or both. The person may be a passenger of the AV or a person outside the AV. A message including information of the AV behavior is generated. The message includes information that can improve the person's sentiment or improve the performance (e.g., safety, passenger comfort, etc.) of the AV. The message may include one or more options for the person to provide feedback on the AV behavior. The person's feedback can be used to improve a classification model used to classify the AV behavior. The message may also include an option for the person to modify a ride provided by the AV to the person.

  • Patent number: 12066181
Abstract: A light shaping assembly comprises a printed circuit board (PCB), a two-dimensional (2D) array formed of a plurality of rows, each row comprising a plurality of light sources mounted on the PCB, and a Fresnel lens. The Fresnel lens redirects a light beam emitted by each light source at an angle that increases as a function of a distance between each light source and a selected point on the PCB, so that the light beams emitted by the light sources are collectively directed toward a common target.

  • Patent number: 12066182
Abstract: Control instructions are transmitted to receivers by modulating light sources to generate light beams that are modulated with digital data streams for inducing control instructions in the light beams. Each light beam is applied to a pixel shaper element of a pixel shaper assembly to produce a light pixel, each light pixel carrying the control instructions of the light beam, each light pixel having a perimeter defined by the pixel shaper element. The pixel shaper assembly combines the light pixels into an image without significant overlap or voids between the light pixels emitted by the pixel shaper assembly. The light pixels are directed toward a projector lens for transmission toward the receivers. In a receiver, an optical receiver detects a light pixel. A controller decodes the control instructions received in the detected light pixel and uses the control instructions to control a function of the receiver.
