  • Publication number: 20250123895
Abstract: A system and method of execution node provisioning of a data store with fairness during oversubscription. The method includes scanning, during a first iteration, a queue to identify a first batch of processing requests associated with a plurality of accounts. The method includes determining a total count of demanded execution nodes to satisfy the first batch of processing requests. The method includes determining, based on the total count of demanded execution nodes, an inability for a pool of available execution nodes of a data store to satisfy the first batch of processing requests. The method includes allocating, by a processing device, the first batch of processing requests to the pool of available execution nodes according to a rationing procedure to reduce a latency time associated with processing the first batch of processing requests.

  • Publication number: 20250120573
Abstract: An endoscope (e.g., a duodenoscope) includes a bifluidic valve for controlling the flow of water and air through a flexible tubular probe to respectively irrigate or insufflate an internal cavity of a patient. Some examples of the bifluidic valve include a flexible valve seal that allows air to flow in one direction but not in reverse. Different examples of the valve seal include various features, such as a set of overlapping flexible flaps arranged in a spiral, a rubber-like disc with an array of cross-slit perforations that open in response to a positive pressure differential across the disc, a resiliently expandable cone with multiple concentric ridges, a valve spool encircled by an elastic tubular piece that can expand radially to open an air passageway in the valve spool, and an elastic tube that in reaction to being compressed or otherwise shortened bulges radially outward to block an annular air passageway.

  • Publication number: 20250121641
Abstract: A vehicle ride-height adjustment device with a locking mechanism that has a simple control path and avoids the need for a separate actuator to control locking. The locking mechanism includes a locking gear coupled for rotation with a driven gear of a ride-height actuator, a locking pawl supported adjacent the driven gear for pivoting movement between a locked position engaged with a surface of the locking gear and restricting rotation thereof in at least one direction and a disengaged position spaced apart from the locking gear and permitting rotation of the driven gear. A shifting fork is coupled for rotation with the drive gear configured to move the locking pawl between engaged and disengaged positions. A torque limiter allows the shifting fork to rotate independent from the drive gear when a torque threshold is exceeded.

  • Publication number: 20250123013
Abstract: An air ionization unit is provided to ionize air to remove particulates and to release cleaned air. Air moves into the air ionization unit where it may be first filtered by an air intake filter. The air is moved, preferably by a fan, into contact with an ion generator, where the air is ionized. One or more (such as two) other fans may be used to provide airflow to (1) at least partially remove ions emanating from the air that has been exposed to the ion generator, and (2) to push the cleaned air through one or more ozone filters and out of the air ionization unit. The air ionization unit may also include an outgoing air filter, and one or more doors to access the air intake filter and/or the air ionization unit.

  • Publication number: 20250124183
Abstract: An apparatus and method for predicting hot form die sliding are disclosed. The apparatus generates a 3D model of a hot form die, including a model upper die and a model lower die, which is fixed, relative to the model upper die. A hot forming process model is generated, and a baseline simulation is performed to determine a sliding direction of the model upper die within a sliding plane as it is pressed towards the model lower die along a z-axis. A spring coefficient is calculated at a spring reference point on the model upper die, that allows the model upper die to slide a specified distance in the sliding direction. If it is determined that some sliding is to be prevented, the apparatus generates model guides within the 3d model.

  • Publication number: 20250124013
Abstract: Techniques for notifying users of events for objects in a system of record are described. A request to generate the event is received. The event is indicative of a modification of an object. The event is recorded in a timeline table for a timeline of the object. Based on the modified object in the timeline table and a user table, one or more users may be identified. Further, the event is classified to determine a notification type of the one or more users from the user table. All interested users are selected from the one or more users and notified of the event. In an example, the system automatically subscribes users to receive notification of the occurrence of an event for the object. In an example, the one or more users may request to stop receiving the notification of the occurrence of the event for the object.

  • Publication number: 20250123070
Abstract: Disclosed is a firearm barrel that includes a bore, a rifling pattern along a length of the bore, and a grooved gas-venting pattern along a length of the bore that exceeds an envelope of the rifling pattern. The rifling pattern imparts spin on a bullet to stabilize the bullet in flight, while the grooved gas-venting pattern allows expanding propellant gases to escape around the bullet as it travels down the bore, causing a reduction in internal pressure acting on the bullet and reducing bullet velocity. The inventive barrel can reduce bullet velocity of standard ammunition, such as 5.56×45 mm NATO or 7.62×51 mm NATO to a subsonic velocity, or approximately 1125 feet per second at sea level without the need for specialized ammunition.

  • Publication number: 20250126081
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are described for dialog control flow in information retrieval applications. A server establishes a chat-based communication session between an information retrieval application and a client device. The server determines a user intent from utterances received from a user of the client device and initiates a first dialog workflow associated with the user intent. The server invokes NLP services using the utterances to determine a comprehension score for the user intent and identifies a first one of the NLP services to continue the first dialog workflow when the comprehension score is at or above a threshold value, including generating a response to the utterances using the first NLP service. The server delegates the communication session to a second dialog workflow when the comprehension score is below the threshold value, including invoking a generalized language processing service associated with the second dialog workflow using the user intent to generate a response to the utterances.

  • Publication number: 20250121250
Abstract: A method and system for rehabilitation of a patient having a physical impairment by providing repetitive motion therapy is disclosed. The system is configured to receive biomechanical data from the patient regarding repetitive movements of the patient performed using a first and second side of the body, respectively, and select, based on the data, an entrainment side according to which repetitive motion therapy is provided. The system further performs repetitive motion therapy by: providing the patient auditory stimulus comprising beat signals output at respective beat times; receiving time-stamped biomechanical data for repetitive movements performed by the patient using the entrainment side in relation to the respective beat times of the beat signals; calculating an entrainment potential for the entrainment side by comparing a timing of the repetitive movements to the timing of the beat signals; and modifying the auditory stimulus as a function of the calculated entrainment potential.
