  • Patent number: 12281049
Abstract: An improved method for embedding one or more sensors in SiC is provided. The method includes depositing a binder onto successive layers of a SiC powder feedstock to produce a dimensionally stable green body have a true-sized cavity. A sensor component is then press-fit into the true-sized cavity. Alternatively, the green body is printed around the sensor component. The assembly (the green body and the sensor component) is heated within a chemical vapor infiltration (CVI) chamber for debinding, and a precursor gas is introduced for densifying the SiC matrix material. During infiltration, the sensor component becomes bonded to the densified SiC matrix, the sensor component being selected to be thermodynamically compatible with CVI byproducts at elevated temperatures, including temperatures in excess of 1000° C.

  • Publication number: 20250124668
Abstract: Network subscriber devices simulate peer devices via virtual models displayed within a real-time capture of a physical environment, as an extended reality (XR) experience for users. Immersion of the XR experience is enhanced based on layering the virtual model of a simulated device in relation to digits of a user included within the real-time capture, thus appearing like the user is holding the simulated device. The digits of the user that are layered above the virtual model can be tracked such that the user can move these digits to make virtual inputs to the simulated device that can cause virtual display content shown with the virtual model to change. Device specification information is also shown within the XR experience. Via the XR experience, network subscribers can be better informed on devices available for use on a telecommunication network and can immediately acquire devices being simulated within the XR experience.
