Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to a deep neural network (DNN) device utilizing spin orbital-spin orbital (SO-SO) devices. The SO-SO devices each includes two SOT layers, a first spin orbit torque (SOT1) layer, a second spin orbit torque (SOT2) layer, and a ferromagnetic layer disposed between the SOT1 and SOT2 layer. Each SO-SO device further comprises three terminals, one per each SOT layer, for in plane current flow to or from the respective SOT layer, and one for perpendicular current flow through multiple layers, or the overall stack, of the SO-SO device. The SO-SO device thus efficiently provides spin-to-charge and charge-to-spin mechanisms in the same device, and can be flexibility configured to perform various functions of a neural node of a DNN. These functions include storing programmed weights, multiplying inputs and weights and summing such multiplication results, and performing an activation function to determine a neural node output.

  • Publication number: 20250147652
Abstract: Methods and devices are described that enable user interactions using a combination of gaze input and touch input. During display of interactive elements on a display of an electronic device, an estimated gaze location of a gaze input is determined. A target interactive element is identified based on the estimated gaze location. Touch input is detected that traverses a first distance in a first direction. A preview of information related to the target interactive element is displayed, where an amount of the information displayed in the preview is based on the first distance traversed by the touch input.

  • Publication number: 20250148476
Abstract: Aspects described herein may relate to a transaction exchange platform using a streaming data platform (SDP) and microservices to process transactions according to review and approval workflows. The transaction exchange platform may receive transactions from origination sources, which may be added to the SDP as transaction objects. As the transactions are processed, the transactions may require access to a resource (e.g., a key value in a database). A microservice processing the transaction may request, from a locking microservice, a lock for the resource. The locking microservice may query a local cache to determine whether a lock exists for the resource. If the local cache determines that no lock exists for resource, the locking mechanism may employ a consensus protocol to obtain a lock for the resource from a plurality of clusters. If consensus is reached, a lock for the resource may be granted to the requesting microservice.

Abstract: Camera equipment used for capturing a live event is expensive and may require professionals to operate the equipment. Such camera equipment is not accessible for capturing events and experiences by everyday users. Suppose media content is captured by lower-cost input devices such as mobile phones with a video camera. A production platform can use computer vision techniques to produce enhanced media content from media content captured by the lower-cost input devices. In one example, the production platform can aggregate and analyze the received media content to extract information and determine blind spots. The production platform can create or retrieve content based on the extracted information and insert the content in the blind spots. The production platform can deliver enhanced media content to an end user device, the enhanced media content may have the received media content and the inserted content.

  • Publication number: 20250145108
Abstract: Disclosed herein is an occupant safety restraint system that dampens forces applied to an occupant by belts used for restraining the occupant in the occupant safety restraint system. Energy dampening structures may be disposed in either a seat back portion of an occupant safety restraint system or a seat bottom portion of an occupant safety restraint system (or both) through which shoulder and/or hip belts pass. The energy dampening structures may include deformation members that deform when restraining belts (i.e., shoulder and/or hip belts) contact the deformation members during vehicle collisions or rapid deceleration or acceleration. Deformation of the deformation members reduces or dampens energy in the restraining belts applied to occupants of the occupant safety restraint systems.
