  • Patent number: 9424699
Abstract: A method and system that allows authorized individuals access into controlled access locations and the ability to grant temporary and limited access to guests into these locations. The method and system allows for navigational services to be provided to members and guests, and real-time tracking and confirmation to members and administrators that guests have arrived at their destination and did not enter any unauthorized areas. The method preferably can work through a system of wireless radio, sound and/or light-based beacons communicating with member and guest's electronic devices. Members and administrators can send one or more temporary electronic access keys to a guest's smartphone or other electronic device. Wireless radio, sound and/or light-based beacons provide an access control and location tracking system with real-time data about the member and guest whereabouts, allowing for the confirmation and tracking.

  • Publication number: 20160226883
Abstract: A method and system for automatically terminating a logout session for a restricted access system by determining that an authorized user has left the vicinity of the restricted access system. The authorized user preferably carries a wireless transmitter which transmits an authorization signal that is also used for permitting access to the restricted access system. When the authorized user leaves the vicinity of the restricted access system after logging in, the signal is no longer received by a wireless receiver or too weak of a signal, such that an access control system in communication with the wireless receiver automatically causes the restricted access system to initiate a logout action in order to prevent or reduce the chance of an unauthorized user gaining access to the restricted access system. The restricted access system can be a rewards tracking system.

  • Patent number: 8959027
Abstract: A consolidation engine to consolidate health information under regulatory control and from healthcare entities and patients is described. Data sources corresponding to healthcare providers and/or healthcare payers are accessed. A first set of confidential medical information from a first data source for an identified patient is accessed, including a first indication of a health condition and/or a first indication of a health care service. A second set of confidential medical information from a second data source is accessed, including a second indication of a health condition and/or a second indication of a health care service. First and second sets are consolidated to form a composite set of confidential medical information. Authentication information for a user approved for access to at least part of the composite set is stored, and a network interface allows access by the user that is approved for access to the composite set of confidential medical information.

  • Patent number: 8751880
Abstract: A method and a system for accurately calculating the timing margin in a clock and data recovery system (CDR) is provided that utilizes a singular path environment of hardware. The method entails adding an amount of jitter within the CDR to change the receiver phase. The amount of jitter is incrementally increased until a threshold level of bit errors occur. Based on the amount of jitter needed to cause the threshold level of bit errors, timing margin can be calculated.

  • Patent number: 8668650
Abstract: A pressure sensing device is provided that can monitor and measure pressure at two points in a vessel or artery without moving the outer sheath or catheter of the device. The outer sheath or catheter includes two spaced apart openings that may be positioned in a vessel or artery on opposing sides of an occlusion. The device also includes an inner elongated tube with at least one opening. The inner elongated tube is slidable with respect to the outer sheath or catheter thereby permitting the opening of the elongated tube to be moved into selective registration with one of the openings of the outer sheath. A pressure measurement may be taken through one of the openings in the outer sheath by aligning the opening of the elongated tube with said opening and, then, a second pressure reading may be taken by sliding the elongated tube within the outer sheath so that the opening of the elongated tube is in registry with the other opening of the tubular sheath.
