  • Publication number: 20140138389
Abstract: A cylindrical upstanding water tank is formed from a plurality of rows of corrugated curved panels bolted edge to edge with a liner extending over the cylindrical wall and support surface to contain the water within the tank. An access opening is formed in one panel of the cylindrical wall and includes a frame with a rectangular planar front flange and a rearwardly extending flange welded into the hole. Liner retention straps surround the hole to fasten an edge of the liner around the hole. An access cover plate is bolted to the front flange of the frame and carries a hoop strength plate which fastens to studs at the rear of the plane so that the plates are removable to allow service access to the interior of the tank.

  • Publication number: 20140088770
Abstract: A convenient, water-saving and labor-saving FROG irrigation controller and system are provided, which determine the appropriate water budget and schedule for the property's landscaping based on evapotranspiration data for the geographic area, regulation data (any mandated and voluntary watering restrictions), and property-specific data, with consideration given to reduction in watering days, increase in soil watering depth, and day of year. Once set, the FROG controller provides incremental adjustments over the course of the year; the homeowner no longer needs to re-set the watering program seasonally to comply with local mandated and voluntary watering restrictions. Compliance is automatic and obligatory, meeting the water saving goals of the local water authority. Optionally presented is a web-based wizard used to determine a customized water budget/schedule that is input into the FROG controller through a data storage unit or wireless input.

  • Publication number: 20140012950
Abstract: This proposed invention provides an efficient, secure cloud based remote control system for remote controlling all electronic or electromagnetically controlled devices, data and photos from anywhere in the world, giving consumers the ability to live global lifestyles while maintaining control of their devices and data from one complete system. Unique to this system is the standard set of remote controls for all electronic and electromagnetically controlled devices, eliminating the need for different remote control systems for different devices. The standard set of remote controls has the capability to become a standard by which all devices can be manufactured in the future to seamlessly connect to all remote control systems containing the same set of standard remote controls, much like Bluetooth has become the wireless standard for cell phones, computers and laptops. This cloud based remote control system is based on the Personal Universe Control System (PUCS) Standard.

  • Patent number: 8587672
Abstract: In one embodiment, a movie set includes a motion-picture camera and a visible-talent tracking system having several elements. Based on the camera's characteristics, items in a portion of the movie set called the view frustum will appear in focus in the film. The camera and a camera-tracking system provide camera-location, orientation, and settings information to a culling processor. The culling processor delineates the location and dimensions of the view frustum based on the received camera information. Wireless tags are attached to talent on set. A tag-locating system tracks the real-time respective locations of the wireless tags and provides real-time spatial information regarding the tags to the culling processor, which determines which tags, if any, are considered to be within the view frustum, and provides information associated with the intra-frustum tags to a track recorder for recording along with the corresponding film frames. That information is variously used after editing.
