  • Patent number: 8579281
Abstract: A sheet inverter apparatus improves the handling capabilities of high speed printers and copiers. The sheet inverter apparatus includes a rotatable support having an axis of rotation and at least first and second arms radiating outwardly from the axis of rotation. First and second nip assemblies are is mounted to the first and second arms respectively. The support is rotatable to adjust positions of the first and second nips about the axis of rotation. Advantageously, with this arrangement, the support is adjustable so as to permit the first and second nips to receive sheets of paper at one location, be positionally adjusted with the sheets of paper moving therewith, and located at a second location so as to deliver the paper to an outlet feed path. This positional adjustment allows for inversion of the paper.

  • Publication number: 20130293143
Abstract: An intelligent power supply system includes a transformer and at least one gate unit. The transformer is configured to electrically connect to a higher voltage power source and to convert the higher voltage to a first reduced voltage. The transformer provides the first reduced voltage via a first output. The gate unit is operable to receive the first output and provide a second output at a second reduced voltage. At least one low voltage electrical device is electrically connectable to the second output. The transformer may electrically connect to a higher voltage power source at a first location, with the gate unit disposed at a second location remote from the first location, whereby the higher voltage power source is not at or near the second location, which may comprise a display location with various electrically powered display devices that are powered by the reduced voltage provided by the gate unit.

A filter element having fluted filter media is removable and replaceable from the air cleaner. The housing is constructed and arranged to cam the element into sealing engagement with the housing. The access cover includes structure to help support and ensure proper seating of the filter element within the housing. A method of installing the filter element in the air cleaner includes sliding a portion of the filter element against a slide surface in the housing. A method of servicing an air cleaner includes tilting the filter element against a tilt surface in the housing to release a seal between the filter element and the housing. • Patent number: 8565904
Abstract: A convenient, easy-to-use, water-saving, and labor-saving FROG irrigation controller and system are provided, which determine the appropriate water budget and schedule for the property's landscaping based on evapotranspiration data for the geographic area, regulation data (mandated and voluntary watering restrictions), and property-specific data (such as type of plant, zone number, emitter type, and plant environment), with consideration given to reduction in watering days, increase in soil watering depth, and day of year. Once set, the FROG provides incremental adjustments over the course of the year; the homeowner no longer needs to re-set the watering program seasonally to comply with local mandated and voluntary watering restrictions. Compliance is automatic and obligatory, meeting the water saving goals of the local water authority.

  • Publication number: 20130233782
Abstract: An atomizing spray head suitable for delivering an atomized spray of a fluid with reduced blockage within the spray head. The spray head includes an inlet having a passage therein, a female tapered seat fluidically coupled to the passage of the inlet, and a male tapered plunger seated against the female tapered seat. The male tapered plunger is adjustably biased against the female tapered seat to pressurize a fluid that flows into the passage and causes the male tapered plunger to be unseated from the female tapered seat. A window circumferentially surrounds the male tapered plunger, through which a pressurizing fluid that unseats the male tapered plunger from the female tapered seat is able to exit the spray head as an atomized spray in radial directions relative to the male tapered plunger.

  • Patent number: 8459644
Abstract: A dual path, single reversing roll inverter driven by a single actuator includes a single reversing roller with two, diametrically opposed idler rollers. The configuration of the reversing roller and idler rollers forms a first nip and a second nip that are alternately used to accept sequential sheets from a paper path. The first and second nips discharge the sheets into respective first and second inverting paths. A method for inverting sheets using the dual path, single reversing roll inverter includes rotating the roller in a first direction to direct a first sheet through the first nip. The roller is then rotated in a second direction opposite the first direction to direct the first sheet from the first nip and into the first inverting path and to simultaneously direct a second sheet into the second nip. A gate alternately directs the sequential sheets into the first and second nips.
