  • Patent number: 12558074
Abstract: A method for sample encapsulation. A first sampling swab is provided that includes an absorbent portion and a fluid control portion that extends from the absorbent portion. The absorbent portion is proximate a proximal end of the first sampling swab. The fluid control portion is proximate a distal end of the first sampling swab. A sample is collected with the absorbent portion. At least a portion of the sample is liquid. An encapsulation material is provided that includes a first web and a second web. The first sampling swab is positioned between the first web and the second web. The first web is urged into contact with the second web proximate the absorbent portion. The urging of the first web into contact with the second web proximate the absorbent portion causes liquid to move from the absorbent portion towards the fluid control portion.

  • Publication number: 20250318889
Abstract: An articulating joint comprising a multi-cluster joint where every consecutive pair of links is interfaced by a gimbal, which offers rotation about two orthogonal axes within the same plane. Thus, the articulating joint comprises an alternating sequence of links and gimbals. Furthermore, there may be multiple cables attached to one or more of the links. As these cables are selectively pulled and released, one can achieve any desired articulation of the articulating joint. There may be a transmission member extending through the links and gimbals, parallel to the central longitudinal axis of the joint in its nominal non-articulated condition. This transmission member may be either a tension member that is pulled on (e.g. a cable or flexible pull rod) and that loads the articulating joint in compression, or the transmission member may be a flexible push rod that loads the articulating joint in tension.

  • Publication number: 20250102463
Abstract: A laser-line-generating system generates and process a laser light to illuminate a capillary array. The laser-line-generating system includes a laser-light source, focusing optics, a first optical scanner, and a second optical scanner. The laser-light source outputs a first laser light. The focusing optics receives the first laser light and reduces a beam width of the first laser light. The first optical scanner receives the first laser light and output a first optical-scanner-outputted light by varying an angle of outputted light along a first dimension. The second optical scanner receives the first optical-scanner-outputted light and outputs a second optical-scanner-outputted light by varying an angle of outputted light along a second dimension. The second optical-scanner-outputted light includes a line with dimensional components in both the first dimension and the second dimension.

  • Publication number: 20240076214
Abstract: Method for reducing ocean temperatures and enhancing alkalinity, the method cited here both reduces ocean acidification and helps lower ocean water temperature by reflecting the sun with a froth flotation of bubbles, a method when used in areas of coral reef improves the conditions necessary for coral reef growth, the method consists of first locating a dispersing source, such as a boat or other device able to position itself over a coral reef, or in any ocean section, second creating a froth flotation of bubbles with alkaline and other minerals attached, and then third dispersing the froth flotation consisting of bubbles with minerals attached, over the coral reefs, and then having the bubbles to reflect the sun rays to lower ocean temperature, the method also allows the alkaline minerals to disengage from the bubbles over time, reducing the acidification levels in the ocean and around coral reefs.

  • Patent number: 11617930
Abstract: A golf tee tether assembly for PURPOSE includes a cable has a length of no less than 19.0 inches. A pair of grommets is each attached to a respective end of the cable. Each of the grommets has an inside diameter of no more than 0.312 inches thereby facilitating each of the grommets to insertably receive a golf tee. A first one of the grommets is positionable at a drive location on a golf course to support a golf ball for driving the golf ball. A second one of the grommets is positionable at an anchor location that is displaced from the drive location. In this way the golf tee in the second grommet inhibits the golf tee in the first grommet from flying away when the golf ball is driven.

  • Patent number: 11564827
Abstract: An ostomy output diversion device is used to cover and seal closely around a patient's stoma, to divert stoma effluent output through the device, through a drain tube and into a container or reservoir, temporarily eliminating the need of an adhesive-based ostomy pouching system. The ostomy output diversion device is placed over the person's stoma, with the base ring surrounding the peristomal skin, the adjustable inner tube is retracted until the base ring is centered over the stoma, the body support strap is then placed over the device to secure it to the patient's body, the inner tube with stoma-sized adapter is then extended over the stoma, the patient applies the desired pressure against the skin, then secures the stoma-sized adapter in place with the pressure adjustment lock. The device may also include an ostomy pouch mounting ring for attachment to an ostomy pouch, and a disposable receptacle.

  • Patent number: 11299363
Abstract: Example implementations relate to print media stacks. In some examples, a device may include a sheet channel to guide a sheet of print media within the sheet channel above and separated in a vertical direction from a stack of printed media when the sheet of print media exits a print path of a printer. The device may include a plurality of clamps to control alignment of the sheet of print media on the stack of printed media when the sheet channel moves outboard from the sheet of print media to allow the sheet of print media to fall onto the stack of printed media, wherein the plurality of clamps sequentially pin the sheet of print media to the stack of printed media from a middle portion of the sheet of print media outward.
