  • Patent number: 10295212
Abstract: A system for controlling a load control relay (LCR) supplying power to a thermostat of a heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) system includes a controller programmed to maximize the amount of time that a load of the HVAC system may receive power. The controller operates by measuring a thermostat delay time of the thermostat and modifying cycle shed and restore times for controlling the LCR based on the measured thermostat delay time. By controlling the LCR according to the modified cycle shed and restore times, the controller compensates for the thermostat delay time, and the load is able to be active for a longer period of time than it otherwise would be when operating under demand-response controls.

  • Publication number: 20190126980
Abstract: A steerable knuckle, and an axle and track drive assembly including the knuckle, is disclosed. A driveshaft rotatable about a rotational axis extends through the knuckle and is coupled to a hub. The knuckle pivots about a steering axis generally perpendicular to the rotational axis. The track drive includes a drive wheel, a drive frame, rollers, and a track. Rotation of the driveshaft about the rotational axis rotates the hub and drive wheel which rotates the track about the drive wheel and rollers. Rotation of the knuckle about the steering axis turns the track drive. The knuckle can include a hollow spindle, one or more undercarriage support arm(s) for connecting the track drive frame, steering stops, and king pin, steering cylinder, and tie rod connections. The knuckle can be a single integrated piece. The undercarriage support arm(s) can include track frame mounts that can be generally horizontal or vertical.

Abstract: A steerable knuckle, and an axle and track drive assembly including the knuckle, is disclosed. A driveshaft rotatable about a rotational axis extends through the knuckle. The knuckle pivots about a steering axis generally perpendicular to the rotational axis. The driveshaft extends through an axle housing, and a hub is coupled to the driveshaft. The track drive includes a drive wheel, a drive frame, rollers, and a track. Rotation of the driveshaft about the rotational axis rotates the hub and drive wheel which rotates the track about the drive wheel and rollers. • Patent number: 10273953
Abstract: A pneumatic reciprocating fluid pump for pumping a fluid includes at least one check valve assembly that includes a check valve body insert, a ball within the valve body insert, and an annular sealing ring member disposed within a seat ring receptacle. The sealing ring member has dimensions smaller than corresponding dimensions of the seat ring receptacle, such that the sealing ring member is capable of moving within the seat ring receptacle. The ball is configured to slide back and forth between a first position and a second position within the check valve body insert responsive to forward and reverse flow of fluid therethrough. In one position, the ball is seated against the sealing ring member and prevents reverse flow of the fluid through the check valve assembly, and forward flow of the fluid through the check valve assembly is enabled when the ball is in another position.

  • Patent number: 10206621
Abstract: This disclosure describes devices, system, and a method for the prediction and prevention of acute decompensated heart failure or other patient conditions involving fluid accumulation in legs or hands. In one example, a wearable device contains a drift-free leg-size sensor and a tissue-elasticity sensor. Both sensors may be relatively inexpensive and developed using innovative new sensing ideas. Preliminary tests with the sensor prototypes show promising results: the leg-size sensor is capable of measuring 1 mm changes in leg diameter and the tissue-elasticity sensor can detect 0.15 MPa differences in elasticity. In another example, a wearable system includes sensors for measuring a variety of physiological parameters, a processing module, and a communication module. A low-profile instrumented sock, e.g., a wearable device, with multiple sensors can provide an indication of heart failure status for a patient.
