  • Patent number: 9766769
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for evaluating interactions with a user interface are disclosed. In one aspect, a method includes identifying a set of mutation events specifying changes to the structure of a user interface that occurred during the user session, and generating user interface states specifying different structures of the user interface throughout the given user session. Based at least in part on the user interface states, playback data that present visual changes of the user interface corresponding to the set of mutation events that occurred during the user session are generated. Session activity data describing user interactions that occurred during the user session are also generated. At least a portion of the playback data and the session activity data are output to a requesting device.

Abstract: An underwater image projection system submerged in a body of water and projecting an image within the body of water. The system includes a submerged projection element, a light source steering device, a user interface, and a controller. The submerged projecting element includes a projecting light source that projects an image within the body of water. The light source steering device directs light from the projecting light source. The user interface receives data input from a user including at least one of an input of the image and instructions for displaying the image. The controller retrieves the data input from the user interface, accesses image data corresponding to the image, and controls the projecting light source and the light source steering device to project the image onto a target surface within the body of water based on the data input from the user interface.

  • Patent number: 9673923
Abstract: Described are systems and methods for communicating emergency alerts to a hearing-impaired user. Queries are performed to one or more emergency alert databases to develop emergency alert notifications. At least some of the emergency alert notifications are filtered responsive to user selected criteria to select one or more filtered emergency alerts. An attention desired indicator is transmitted to a hearing-impaired user device that subscribes to a hearing-impaired relay service supported by the server if the one or more filtered emergency alerts are present. The filtered emergency alerts are transmitted to the hearing-impaired user device in response to a emergency information query from that user device.

  • Publication number: 20170147013
Abstract: A water level detection system in a pool, spa, fountain or water feature, the water level detection system being provided with a tap line coupled to a plumbing line on a suction or supply side of a filtration system and admitting water from the pool, spa, fountain or water feature such that the change in level of the water in the tap line corresponds to a change in level of the water in the pool, spa, fountain or water feature. A sensing module has at least one sensor for detecting the height of a column of water or the pressure of a column of air in the water tap line. A controller is coupled to the sensing module and adapted to collect the data from the sensors that detect changes in the level of the water level of the pool, spa, fountain or water feature, communicate the detection of such a change, and report such a change to initiate addition or removal of water from the pool, spa, fountain or water feature body of water to adjust the water level in the body of water to a set point.

  • Publication number: 20170095922
Abstract: An articulating joint comprising a multi-cluster joint where every consecutive pair of links is interfaced by a gimbal, which offers rotation about two orthogonal axes within the same plane. Thus, the articulating joint comprises an alternating sequence of links and gimbals. Furthermore, there may be multiple cables attached to one or more of the links. As these cables are selectively pulled and released, one can achieve any desired articulation of the articulating joint. There may be a transmission member extending through the links and gimbals, parallel to the central longitudinal axis of the joint in its nominal non-articulated condition. This transmission member may be either a tension member that is pulled on (e.g. a cable or flexible pull rod) and that loads the articulating joint in compression, or the transmission member may be a flexible push rod that loads the articulating joint in tension.

  • Publication number: 20170049394
Abstract: This disclosure describes devices, system, and a method for the prediction and prevention of acute decompensated heart failure or other patient conditions involving fluid accumulation in legs or hands. In one example, a wearable device contains a drift-free leg-size sensor and a tissue-elasticity sensor. Both sensors may be relatively inexpensive and developed using innovative new sensing ideas. Preliminary tests with the sensor prototypes show promising results: the leg-size sensor is capable of measuring 1 mm changes in leg diameter and the tissue-elasticity sensor can detect 0.15 MPa differences in elasticity. In another example, a wearable system includes sensors for measuring a variety of physiological parameters, a processing module, and a communication module. A low-profile instrumented sock, e.g., a wearable device, with multiple sensors can provide an indication of heart failure status for a patient.

  • Publication number: 20160355421
Abstract: Some embodiments provide a chemical balancing system for a pool that includes a salt chlorine generator system. The salt chlorine generator system produces chlorine through an electrolytic process at a salt chlorine generator cell in communication with a flow of water from the pool. A pH monitoring and balancing unit is coupled to the salt chlorine generator system. A power cord connects a power supply to the salt chlorine generator. A controller is in communication with both the salt chlorine generator system and the pH monitoring and balancing unit. The controller is configured to estimate a current pH value of the pool, determine how much pH balancing solution is required to re-balance the pool to a desired pH level, and dispense pH balancing solution until the pH level in the pool reaches the desired pH level.
