Abstract: A method and system for billing for online ad delivery services are disclosed. According to one aspect of the invention, an advertiser establishes an account with an online ad delivery service, and provides an initial amount of funds for the account. In addition, the advertiser establishes a budget limit for a specified budget period. As ads are served and clicked by end-users, a predetermined fee is debited from the advertiser's account. However, the ad server includes budget analysis logic to determine when to stop serving ads to ensure that the advertiser's budget limit is not exceeded, thereby ensuring that the advertiser's initial funds are not used up more quickly than desired.

Abstract: A co-sleeper convertibly adapted for use as a changing table, bassinet or play yard is described. The invention includes a first rigid enclosure that has four walls and a floor with the front wall capable of being positioned at an upper level equal to the remaining walls or at a second lower level. The first enclosure is capable of supporting a second enclosure within it that has four walls, a floor and can support a mattress. The co-sleeper is secured at one side of a parental bed with the co-sleeper mattress positioned a short distance below the level of the mattress of the parental bed. The front wall of the invention is placed in the second, lowered position for use as a co-sleeper or changing table and positioned at the upper level when the invention is used as a play yard or bassinet. The front wall has a fixed lower portion and a raisable upper portion.

Abstract: Advertisements over a network, such as the Internet, by extracting an index file of suppliers of search result sets for a plurality of keywords and/or an index of ads to be placed. A keyword in a received query may be matched to the suppliers of related search result sets and/or the ads to be placed in the index file(s). The search results may be ranked based on various criteria such as yield, click through rates and history of dealings. Search result sets for the keywords from the matching suppliers and the ads to be placed may be combined to produce a search result set ranked in accordance with estimated yields for advertisements associated with each result in the search result set and delivered in response to the received query. The search results in the combined set may be reranked and/or repriced.

Abstract: Delivering advertisements via the Internet may include extracting an index file, including a bid price, and a table of contents pointing to a start location of the keyword in the index file. Keywords in the query string may be matched to advertisements by searching the table of contents to locate the start location of that keyword in the index and matching that keyword to index file entries until a next indexed keyword is encountered. Advertisements may be matched based on an estimated yield and priced a price lower than the bid price that retains the ranking. A search result set including a link to the highest ranked advertisements may be used to respond to the query string. Each entry in the index file may include a set of preselected keywords, a text copy of the advertisement, a negative keyword to prevent a matching and/or click through rates.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for providing real time updates of a database describing the features of individual terminals of a shared plan telecommunications group for communication sessions from and to that individual terminal. The characteristics (numbering plan, incoming and outgoing screening, alternate routing, types of service provided) of each of the individual stations of the shared communication plan are stored in a database accessed through a server. The database can be updated in real time by a designated one of the stations in the shared group. The designated station can also handle appeals for an exception to the restrictions stored in the database. The designated station can receive immediate or periodic information on activity of individual stations, or can receive such information on request.

Abstract: Systems for initiating the execution of a macro by simultaneously depressing multiple keys and for reducing the misclassification of keyboard input by distinguishing between rollovers in normal typing and the simultaneous depression of two keys. Only keystrokes that follow a pause are considered candidates for macro initiation. Keystrokes not separated by a pause are dispatched to the operating system for normal processing. If a user types in a normal fashion, no macro is recognized, and the user experiences no unexpected behavior. A user dictionary of macro definitions is used to determine whether the first keystroke is part of a macro input pair.

The core network (10) may be a packet data network, and the surveillance server (26) is operable responsive to trigger information to establish communications surveillance. Communication surveillance may be established by creating duplicate bearer packets of those data packets carrying the communicated data between the parties, creating duplicate control packets of those data packets carrying in-band or out-of-band call control information between the parties and within the packet data network, and/or various combinations thereof. The duplicate bearer packets and the duplicate control packets are routed to appropriate authorized law enforcement agencies for providing surveillance.

Several styles of support members for the enclosure are provided.

Abstract: A toy storage cover for a portable play yard includes four outer panels shaped to surround the outer walls of the play yard attached at their top edges to four inner panels shaped to line the play yard. A floor panel joins the inner panels and is secured to the floor of the play yard by a mattress pad shaped to fit within the inner panels above the floor of the play yard. A series of pockets are attached to the outer panels of the cover. The pockets have smaller pockets within them or on their outer surfaces. Tie-down straps, fitted foot pockets or attachments through the play yard walls are used to secure the cover to the play yard. The toy storage cover may be adapted to play yards of various designs, cribs or other open topped containers.

A list of all callers currently connected to the conference call is maintained. Upon receiving a request from an administrative host of the conference call, the list of current conference call participants is communicated to the host. Upon receipt of a disconnect request from the host identifying a first record associated with a first conference call participant to be disconnected, the first record a corresponding first port number is located, and the call associated with the first port number is disconnected.

Support means for the mattress pad or enclosure include support bars that attach to the frame, a series of hangers that support horizontal bars while hanging from top rails of the frame, and panels and support rods fitted into pockets on the underside of the enclosure. The co-sleeper is height adjustable for variations in parental bed height.
