  • Patent number: 6005416
Abstract: A logic circuit family implements self-resetting CMOS logic array macros (SLAMs) which include a plurality of inputs to which a plurality of data input signals can be applied; a plurality of input buffers coupled to receive the input signals from the inputs; a NOR circuit coupled to receive the outputs of the input buffers and a pulsed logic timing signal synchronized within a predefined window with the arrival of the data input signals; an output buffer coupled to receive the output of the NOR circuit; and an output at which a data output signal is produced, with the output signal being a logical NOR of the data input signals; and with each of the NOR circuit, the plurality of input buffers, and the output buffer optionally having a separate reset input to reset it to a standby state. The SLAMs address the very high pressure on the performance of both control logic and control logic design systems.

  • Patent number: 5970527
Abstract: A pressurized water closet operating system comprises a water vessel, an external manifold mounted directly on said vessel, and an internally mounted flush valve assembly. The manifold comprises a water pressure regulator, an air induction system, and a manually operable flush valve actuator. The manually operable flush valve actuator controls the discharge of water under pressure from the water vessel into the toilet bowl.

  • Patent number: 5751619
Abstract: An arithmetic unit keeps a result in carry-save form and uses this form of the result as an input to the next iteration in recurrent computations. The full adder in the recurrent path is eliminated by implementing multiplication by Y(i), where Y(i) is available only in carry-save form. The carry-save arithmetic unit generates a plurality of partial products whose sum is the product AXB, where A is one binary input and B is either a second binary input B' or the sum C'+S' of two binary inputs C' and S'. A selection is made as to whether B is equal to B' or C'+S'. The plurality of partial products and an addition input Z are compressed to two partial products C and S whose sum C+S equals the sum of the plurality of partial products and Z. The partial products C and S are added to produce a binary result X equal to A.times.B+Z. The full adder in the recurrent path is eliminated by a feedback path which returns the partial products C and S to the inputs C' and S' for a next iteration.

  • Patent number: 5748012
Abstract: A pulsed logic circuit test methodology and circuitry therefor are disclosed. The methodology and circuitry allow the inhibiting of reset pulses, the ability to force resets and the ability to test the circuit in a pseudo-static mode of operation.

  • Patent number: 5717750
Abstract: A method for detecting translation data error in a central office switch comprises: receiving a call directed to a ported directory number in a switch; retrieving translation data from the switch memory to connect the call to a customer line; and determining that the call cannot be completed to a customer line served by the switch. Upon determining that the call cannot be connected to a customer line served by the switch, a translation data error (TDE) indicator is set in the switch memory so that the instant call, and all subsequent calls directed to the same ported directory number, are connected to an announcement circuit. An translation data error message is also sent to a central switch maintenance and control center by the switch.

  • Patent number: 3989728
Abstract: Reacting a partial polyol monocarboxylic acid ester with an acidic anhydride in the presence of a catalytic material selected from the group consisting of stannic chloride, ferric chloride, zinc chloride and mixtures thereof to produce specific complete mixed polyol esters, especially synthetic cocoa butter, with substantially no ester group rearrangement.

  • Patent number: 3968169
Abstract: A process for preparing polyglycerol by heating glycerol under reduced pressure in the presence of a catalytic quantity of sulfuric acid and a low molecular weight glyceride until from about 25 to about 75 percent of the glycerol is polymerized. The condensation is terminated by inactivating the catalyst by adding a substantially stoichiometric amount of a suitable neutralizing agent. Unreacted glycerol and cyclic diglycerol are removed by distillation. The polyglycerol so prepared can advantageously be employed in the preparation of polyglycerol fatty acid esters which are excellent food emulsifiers.

  • Patent number: T969004
Abstract: light-absorbing filters comprise a self-supporting polymeric film, such as an oriented polyethylene terephthalate film, containing or coated with a lacquer containing a compound which absorbs light in the wavelength band less than 0.4 .mu.m (i.e. UV light). The filters are particularly useful as UV-absorbing filters for use in flashbulbs for color photography. Suitable light-absorbing compounds are hydroxyphenyl benzotriazoles, e.g. 2(2'-hydroxy-3',5'-di-t-amylphenyl)benzotriazole, and hydroxy-substituted benzophenone, e.g. 2,2'-dihydroxy-4,4'-dimethoxy-benzophenone.
