  • Publication number: 20040133549
Abstract: The present invention discloses a system and method for improving the organization and dissemination of information in a management information system (MIS). Improved security, organization and delivery of data is achieved in an MIS through the creation of a number of novel databases and an associated method of utilization whereby outside suppliers are provided with timely and secure access to drawing information stored at the MIS. In accordance with the novel data organization and dissemination methods of the invention, the MIS is assured that vendors will have a capability to only view drawings and related information which pertain to the particular vendor thereby preventing the vendor from viewing and/or accessing other vendor's information.
