Abstract: Provided is a method for controlling a vehicle exhaust gas treatment system, wherein the system includes an engine and a selective catalytic reduction device configured to receive exhaust gas from the engine and reductant from an injector. The method comprises determining a need for a reductant injection, determining a need for reductant injector noise abatement, and subsequently conducting one or more reductant injection events during one or more engine combustion events. A vehicle combustion event comprises combustion of fuel within a cylinder of the ICE. Determining a need for reductant injector noise abatement comprises determining if an engine speed is below a threshold, if a speed of the vehicle is below a threshold, if a decibel level of a vehicle audio system is below a threshold, or if a hands-free telephone system is being utilized by a passenger of the vehicle. • Publication number: 20190268442
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to systems and methods of implementing rate limiting in a representational state transfer (REST) application programming interface (API) system. A method of operating an instance of a REST API server, includes: receiving a REST API request that matches a rate limit rule associated with the instance of the REST API server; preparing a REST API response that includes rate limiting response headers. The method includes determining whether a rate limit violation exists that corresponds to the rate limit rule and, when it does, adding an error message to the REST API response. Otherwise, the REST API request is fulfilled and corresponding data is added to the REST API response. The method includes sending the REST API response including the rate limiting response headers and either the error message or the corresponding data.

  • Publication number: 20190255202
Abstract: A device and system for sterilizing objects, commonly dental, medical, or veterinary instruments, having a double door configuration that can provide entry of contaminated instruments into a sterilizer from a contaminated area and subsequently, post-sterilization, their pass-through directly into a sterile area through an exit door from said sterilizer. More specifically, the invention is a countertop, high velocity, dry heat sterilization device that is readily adaptable for those clinical areas requiring separation of contaminated and sterile areas for the processing of medical, dental, or veterinary instruments. The sterilization device utilizes a dual airflow pathway and a controlled heat delivery system to deliver to the sterilization chamber the supply air having temperature uniformity and air velocity required of the high velocity dry heat sterilization process.

  • Patent number: 10369556
Abstract: An integrated process for gasoline production is described. The process includes introducing a feed comprising n-C5 hydrocarbons into a disproportionation reaction zone in the presence of a disproportionation catalyst to form a disproportionation mixture comprising iso-C4 and C6+ disproportionation products and unreacted n-C5 hydrocarbons. An iso-C4 hydrocarbon stream and an olefin feed are introduced into an alkylation reaction zone in the presence of an alkylation catalyst to produce an alkylation mixture comprising alkylate and unreacted iso-C4 paraffins. The disproportionation mixture and the alkylation mixture are combined, and the combined mixture is separated into at least a stream comprising the alkylate product, an iso-C4 stream, and an unreacted n-C5 hydrocarbon stream. The iso-C4 stream is recycled to the alkylation reaction zone, and the unreacted n-C5 hydrocarbon stream is recycled to the disproportionation reaction zone. The stream comprising the alkylate product is recovered.

  • Publication number: 20190219300
Abstract: An air damper assembly for an air duct having an interior wall and an exterior wall is provided. The air damper assembly includes a damper plate having a periphery and multiple teeth spaced at least partially around and extending from the periphery. The multiple teeth vary in length from a maximum to a minimum over a span of approximately 90 degrees around the periphery. The air damper assembly further includes an axle assembly fixedly coupled to the damper plate and rotatably coupled to the air duct. Rotation of the axle assembly causes the damper plate to rotate within the air duct between a fully open position and a fully closed position to increase or decrease a flow of fluid through the air duct.

  • Patent number: 9835353
Abstract: An energy recovery ventilator cabinet containing a plurality of enthalpy wheels. The enthalpy wheels are substantially perpendicular to a stream of forced air, allowing the air to pass through the wheels. The enthalpy wheels are also disposed such that portions overlap, allowing multiple enthalpy wheels to be disposed in a smaller space than if the enthalpy wheels were placed side by side. This arrangement has led to energy recovery effectiveness similar to that obtained by a larger, single enthalpy wheel, but has the advantage of using less space.
