  • Publication number: 20150060717
Abstract: A valve assembly includes a valve body defining a flow passage and a body cavity perpendicular to the flow passage. A bonnet is secured to the valve body. A valve member is moveable between an open position and a closed position, the valve member blocking the flow passage in the closed position, and allowing flow through the flow passage in the open position. A valve stem is coupled to the valve member. A debris barrier circumscribes the valve stem. The debris barrier comprises a first disk shaped member with a central opening through which the valve stem is inserted, and notches that extend radially from the central opening to define petals with ends that abut the valve stem.

  • Patent number: 8931499
Abstract: A breakaway assembly including a first connector including a ball portion movably received therein and a second connector including a coupling portion. The assembly is movable between a first configuration in which the coupling portion is removably received in the ball portion and the first and second connectors together define a fluid path through which fluid may flow, and a second configuration in which the coupling portion is not received in the ball portion. The assembly is configured to move from the first configuration to the second configuration when a sufficient separation force is applied to the assembly. The assembly further includes a valve positioned in one of the first or second connectors. The valve is configured to be in an open position when the assembly is in the first configuration to allow fluid to flow therethrough, and to move to a closed position.

  • Patent number: 8930690
Abstract: The present invention extends to methods, systems, and computer program products for offloading packet processing for networking device virtualization. A host maintains rule set(s) for a virtual machine, and a physical network interface card (NIC) maintains flow table(s) for the virtual machine. The physical NIC receives and processes a network packet associated with the virtual machine. Processing the network packet includes the physical NIC comparing the network packet with the flow table(s) at the physical NIC. When the network packet matches with a flow in the flow table(s) at the physical NIC, the physical NIC performs an action on the network packet based on the matching flow. Alternatively, when the network packet does not match with a flow in the flow table(s) at the physical NIC, the physical NIC passes the network packet to the host partition for processing against the rule set(s).
